We Are All Born Free Mini Edition: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Pictures Hardcover – October 25, 2011

This is a fantastic story to read with children. I used this for a few lesson plans with a 5th grade class. The messages are important and they lead to great class discussions about rights, responsibilities, rules etc. in the classroom, school, home, and beyond. I highly recommend this well written book! The mini edition is just right for a reading corner, but the big book is a must have for read alouds.

EVERY human is born free and equal. Every child deserves to be taught this valuable truth.

I wish I could love this book. I bought it to go along with my curriculum in my fifth grade classroom. It effectively put images to the principles of the UDHR and my students loved it. The reason I lowered my review was because it really is mini. I wish that I was able to get all of these pictures in poster size to hang in my classroom. They are accessible and wonderful works of art and reminders to my students about our rights as humans.The size just makes it difficult to completely love.

I will use this in my classroom for a readaloud about children's rights.
