King of Fighters XIII (PS3)

Personally, when it comes to fighting games, I enjoy SF, KoF, and Mk, (and Tekken 5) but I do prefer KoF but I hated KoF XII.This however is literally one of the most beautiful fighting games of all time, and the fighting sprites in the game are literally some of the most fluid and beautiful around.For the price of £12 this is a must buy.

This is an extremely enjoyable fighting game for any fan of the genre, fast paced 2D combat with most moves mapped/based around quarter turns/Z-movements, and the netcode isn't half bad either. If Reppukens were equal to thumbs up, I'd give this a DOUBLE REPPUKEN!

best fighting game is the last few years for sure worth buying if your a fan of street fighter or any other 2d fighing games you will love it

Let's get a few things out of the way first: i don't use an uber arcade stick and i can't pull 5 hit combos to save my life. Basically i'm your average gamer.The only fighting games i have really enjoyed are SF2 and MK9, even though i've tried most of them.MvC is too fast and flashy for me, Blazblue makes me cry (of wrist pain mostly) and KoF never grabbed my attention... until now.KoF 13 just feels right, for some (good) reason. I can barely do 2 kinds of jump in this game, but i can grasp enough of it's mechanics to actually stand a chance when i play against someone, probably because most of the people playing it are also new to the game, but even so, when i'm playing it i feel a rush like i haven't felt in a very long time, and it feels very good. Even when you loose to someone more skilled you always pick up new strategies that you can actually learn and use with very little or no training at all.Overall the game is very noob friendly (not braindead friendly though) and the basics are easy to learn but hard to master.You'll probably never pull off a Max Cancel in a match, but that won't stop you from enjoying it.The online is kinda iffy at the moment. It's playable, if you find someone with a good connection. If you see someone with a red or yellow latency icon run the hell away from them.

very challenging but exciting

SNK has finally done it, KoF XIII cleans up the mess of glitches you could find in XII, adds some more characters and moves, and delivers a solid gameplay experience.The story mode is nicely done, with a few 2D cutscenes that are a clear throwback at old-school fighting games, with the animations being little more than animated "gifs", and the endings are fun to watch, with some very humorous ones.The visuals are pure 2D awesomeness, the sprites are big and detailed, and -for the most part- respectful of the visuals we're used to seeing on our favorite characters (Clark, Ralf and Terry are too muscle bound, Athena and Yuri too child-like), and the new "Neo Max" moves are stunninggly beautiful to look at.The music is very good as well, with some tunes that immediately remind you of old games in the series, pay some attention to them, you won't be sorry.The one flaw this game has, is the online network code. It's very poorly written, and you'll find yourself dropping combos a lot, which will get frustrating. Overall, i give it 85/100, the game itself is incredibly good, and by far the best 2D fighter currently available. It's one flaw is, as mentioned above, the online experience, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the game with some friends or at local tournaments, it really is the best.

After the disaster that was KOF12 it is nice to see SNK pulled it all together for the 13th instalment.Which is the best KOF? That’s always a background of opinions among fans, but I’d definitely consider this as one of my picks.It looks great, mixing quality animated sprites with animated backgrounds in more detail than ever, it sounds awesome, it has one hell of a fighter roster and most of all it plays really smoothly and accurately.It’s the most accomplished and complete KOF title to date. SNK done well

Got this because of my love for Fatal Fury, some weird characters in here but overall lovely & fun game, played to the end twice; & delivery was on time....

I just receive my KOF Xlll DELUXE EDITION n I really like this KOF KOF should bring kof 14 or bring back kof 2002 for ps3 magic plus 1 n 2

Para los fans de la saga, bueno versión actual de un juego de lucha en 2D.Flojo en el apartado musical.

■GOOD■○まずは、圧倒的なグラフィック。背景も美しいし、キャラクターも大きくて全てが一新されました。○モードが多く、トレーニングモードも有る事。オプションで、細かく設定して練習が出来る。○種類が豊富な、カラーディット モードの充実。ただでさえ、最初から有るカラーも豊富なのに、更にエディットで自分好みのカラーを作れる。○技のコマンドが簡単で、NEO MAX超必殺技も複雑な操作では無く簡単に出す事が出来る。○技１つ１つのエフェクトが、丁寧に作られてる事。NEO MAX超必殺技は、とにかく派手で格好良い。○何故 今更ホア ジャイなんだ・・・と思ってましたが、見事に存在感が有る。酒を飲む(超必殺技)と、雰囲気も変わるのが良い。○BGMが素晴らしい物が多く、どれもオシャレな感じ。また、歩くだけでもスタスタと音が鳴り、細かい所まで良く作られてるなぁと関心しました。○ユリ、キングの、服破れダウンの復活。○EU版を購入したのですが、ゲーム内は何故か日本語で表記されてる。■BAD■×やはり歴代のKOFと比べると、キャラクターが少ないのが残念。KOF=キャラクターが多い印象だったので、物足り無く感じる。×キャラクターの声が、微妙なのが居る。特に不知火 舞の声が全然 違って、見た目はセクシーでイイのに、声のせいで大人の色気が半減してる。餓狼伝説シリーズとかの、以前の声が良かった。他のキャラクターの声も、これじゃ無い感がする様なのが多い。×これが一番 残念で、新規キャラクターが居ない事。新規キャラクターを登場させなくてもイイから、せめて面子を どうにかして欲しかった。個人的に、ブルーマリー、アンヘル、ミシェル、ギース、メイ・リー、社、クリスなんかが居たら嬉しかった。×八神 庵の、全体的な劣化。■感想■KOFは９４〜９８までプレイして、それ以降は存在だけは知ってましたが飛ばして来ました。今回のKOFは、以前の物とはグラフィックも全然 違うので、別ゲーでは無いかと思ってしまいました。操作性、ローディングの長さ等は問題無いです。カラー エディットも充実してて、色を変えるだけでキャラクターの印象もガラッと変わります。キャラクターの声が色々と残念ですが、長く遊べそうなソフトだと思います。最近のゲームが苦手で、ブレイブルーやギルティギアみたいな複雑な操作が必要な格闘ゲームが苦手な方にはオススメです。連続技も、操作やコマンドに慣れれば結構サクサク出来ると思います。続編を出す時は、キャラクターの面子を見直して欲しいですね。しかし、凄く面白い格闘ゲームだと思います。EU版が安かったので、こちらを購入したのですが、パッケージは英語でゲーム内は日本語の表記になってるので、パッケージが英語でもイイなら、EU版をオススメしたいです。
