This textbook along with anything written by Russell C. Hibbeler is one of the best textbooks you can purchase. The textbook does such a great job of teaching the material that it is very easy to follow along in class or even learn the material on your own. I would highly recommend this purchase for anyone trying to learn Mechanics of Materials.

Excellent book. As a textbook it very easy to follow. As a reference for the professional work, give all the tools and examples required for a day by day Mechanical Engineering work. I already have 3 books from Dr Hibbeler. He is an outstanding engineer and professor.

Very informative diagrams and full of great information. Everything is well written and very easy to understand. Won't be reselling this textbook.

Last semester I had Statics that was taught from the same book as this author. Now, let me tell you that Statics book was awesome, the examples were clear, concise, and easy to follow. It explained very well how they did the problems. When we were told that we had to use this book for the "Strength of Materials" class I was happy because I thought that this book would be similar to the Statics, but I was wrong. Its like a completely different set of people did this book. The nomenclature is outright different from the last book, and its book examples are hard to follow because they were extremely awkward wording. The problems in the Statics book were very easy to understand (EX. Find the force P acting on the handle of the tool). This book decided to word in such a weird way possible that sometimes you're just confused what its asking. Thankfully, the professor is a good one and we only use the book for problems and don't have to read the chapters.

As you may have guessed, it is in fact a book. The title and content is the same. Its in fairly good condition. It's a good buy for the price and it shipped quickly. What else is there to say about a book?

I bought it used, binding at top and bottom was a little warn, but overall was in great shape for a used book. Also the shipping was freaky fast (I am a student and have access to two day shipping for $35 a year). I recommend this seller to whoever is reading.

I needed this for a class. I did not find it to be particularly helpful or particularly useless. Nobody buys these things unless they're required anyway.
