I like this product! I’ve been using it in my most recent house project which involves cutting and grinding various metals and plastic and its really done a great job. The variable speed is very nice and all the things you get extra with this tool is fantastic because it allows me to start working with it instantly without having to go buy bits and all that. It comes with lots and lots of bits and I’m sure anything you could possibly need is in there. I’ve used pretty much everything in the kit including the guards and bits for my project and I would definitely recommend this item. The price makes it THAT much better!

I am really impressed with this rotary tool so far. It was fairly priced and came with a big assortment of attachments. I needed it for a light job of filing down a few plastic edges on a computer mouse that were catching everything, so I used the lowest setting to start per the manufacturer recommendation. Even on low it was still plenty powerful, and you could really feel the force in it. Haven’t dialed it all the way up but I imagine that would be more than sufficient for nearly all precision jobs. The key to maintaining its longevity is to let the repetition do the leg work, rather than applying force to the tips you use. I would just recommend that you be mindful of your environment and wear eye protection just in case. The fittings all held in place well, but there is definitely enough power to turn the bit into a small projectile if not properly anchored in. Probably best that you start with the lowest setting for everything, then increase from there only as needed.My only minor gripe was the presentation on arrival, which is still a vital part of the buyer experience. I get that this is a tool destined to get wear, but the plastic case it came in was a little trashed, a crack in the corner, and with the unit’s cables poorly folded and stuffed in. At first I thought it was possibly refurbished and not even dusted off from the previous run. Again, I realize this is a power tool and that it’s destined to get run into the ground, however for the first two minutes of its life I like to appreciate the shine and smell of the machine grease. However, that’s not enough to dock a star, because when looking at the value of the product relative to its price, it’s a winner for sure.

I bought this for wood carving and it works great. I also use it for glass etching after I bought a diamond bit for it. I am loving it. I’ve never owned a Dremel but I am very satisfied with this rotary tool.

Initially gave this 5 stars because it worked great for about 3 months. Then the button you push and depress to lock in the tools started to get stuck. I kept the tool clean and well ventilated and took good care of it, and this kept happening. Had to take it completely apart 4 times to get the button working again so the tools would lock in. Thought it was finally good and then in mid-use started revving way up on its own and shooting sparks out of the vents. Now nervous about even using it at all. Hopefully that was just mine and a defective unit, but wanted to share my experience.

I received a used item, not brand new. It will still work as designed however some of the bits and pieces are broken.

The kit I received DEFINITELY was NOT NEW! Scuff marks all over the hand held. Animal fur in the attachments kit. Scratch marks all around. Not happy at the moment😠😠😠😠The damn thing better work!

I wanted something that was light and sturdy enough that I could start teaching my 6 year old woodworking and this was a great choice. It's great for beginners or novice workers as well. I love that it came with so many heads and accessories. You won't need to buy anything else when you purchase this. It's precise and durable. I really like this one.
