Shows a color change when completed.
Used on a Rennai tankless water heater that was 18 months in service on city water. Flushed for 60 minutes. Inlet filter was clean before and after the flush. Flow-Aide doesn’t say on the label, but in does make your flush mix an amber or yellowish color. After flushing for an hour the water was clear or a slight blueish. This shows that the flush was effective. Will be using again in 12 months!

Easy DIY That Saves a Ton of Money
This product makes flushing my tankless water heater incredibly easy. What used to seem like a job only a plumber could handle is now a quick DIY project I can take care of myself. The instructions are clear, and once you get set up, the whole process is smooth and hassle-free. The best part? It saves SOOOO much money. A plumber would charge several hundred dollars to do exactly what I can now finish in less than an hour with this descaler. The results are great and my water heater runs like new (and stays that way because I keep up with the maintenance). I know I’m also extending its lifespan and protecting my investment just by doing this once a year. DIY setup I used: - A clean Home Depot/Lowe’s bucket - A small circulation pump (I used the same sump/water cleanup pump I keep for my basement) - Two 6' washing machine hoses for easier reach - The service connections my plumber installed on my tankless unit I connected the pump output to the service valve on the heater, ran the return line back into the bucket, and used a small clamp to keep the hose in place. Once everything was hooked up, I let it circulate with the descaler for an hour (longer if there’s heavier scale, per the directions). All of these extra items are reusable. You just need to buy this descaler annually. Rinse everything afterward, let it dry, and it’s good to go for next year. If you own a tankless water heater, this is a must-have. It’s one of those products that pays for itself after the very first use.

Works amazing! Flushed out so much gunk.
Bought this to clean my tankless water heater. The results were amazing. I couldn't believe how much nasty gunk and buildup it washed out of the system. Highly recommend.

Did the job
It was my first time to descale a tankless water heater and did research to find out how it is done (thank you YouTube) and wanted to be 'eco-friendly' by using Vinegar. When I found out how much Vinegar I have to use, the requirement of running the cycle longer and the sour smell, I decided to look for an alternative. I looked at several. I bought this one. I didn't want to use it full strength as the label recommended (32 ounces will make the pump sputter as it is just not enough) and so I mixed it with 1 gallon of water. It was yellowish to begin with. I ran the cycle for an hour. No smells. After an hour, the solution turned almost the color of water. I saw very little debris not because the descaler is not effective. It is effective. I have a Heater Treater filter prior to the tankless which really cuts down on debris! It was easy to use: Only add water (just enough). Now I can lower the temperature of the tankless (as it is summer) and look forward to using the same descaler in 12 months...

This works when vinegar leaves buildup!
I’ve been using vinegar every year for 7 years on a tankless, but flow has been restricted and not as hot recently. Then the Navien threw a 304 error and flow wasn’t being detected. No particles in filter or trap, but definitely buildup. Tried a 6% vinegar flush for an hour, but no fix and only a few particles cane out in the filter. Could hear pump and see flow only with shower on. Assumed a big plumbers bill! I got the Flow aid descaler within 24hrs and ran it for an hour. It immediately started removing scale into the bucket. Ran for an hour and it looks clear with a few particles in the now spotless filter. Pump came on after restart and error cleared with full recirc flow! Saved me hundreds if not thousands in repair! I’ll never use vinegar again. This stuff works!

Quickie
I have to flush my tankless water heater every 6 months. My dad showed me how to do this once and I was worried it’d be complicated- but nope. This is my go to. It’s sooo quick and easy- just set it up and let it run for about 30 minutes and immediately my water pressure is back. It’s the easiest thing ever

Bye bye vinegar!
This stuff works way way better than vinegar. I have been using vinegar each year but this year something changed and my Navien tankless water heater was making noise all the time. I flushed it twice for over 90 minutes and the vinegar looked a little bit gray but not dirty. The sound persisted and then I went online and did some research. JC was suggested and I'm never going back to vinegar. After 45 minutes the water was filthy! And that was just days after the 2 separate vinegar flushes! Don't hesitate to try this!

Excellent
This stuff is amazing. Far more effective than plain vinegar in my Rennai heater. I couldn’t believe how much build up it removed. Will use this from now on.
