Stimulating verbal skills for a 2yr old obsessed with airplanes
My 2yr old is obsessed with airplanes. This book can keep his attention for about 3-4x longer than other books. The number of flaps and activities keeping his attention is fantastic. It stimulates his verbal skills as he “reads” it to me, and increased cognitive ability as he is starting to piece together concepts (like airplanes can see/fly in the dark!). It’s a staple in the diaper bag when we’re going to visit a friend or going out to dinner at a restaurant. Self entertainment FTW!

Lost some charm
I told my mother-in-law this would be a great gift for my son since we had checked it out from the library and he loved it (and still talked about it--but there is a waiting list for the library's disintegrating copy). She gave it to him for Christmas, but it is a different version of the library book (which was called "Flip Flap Airport"). This one is a smaller book with less flaps, and only 2 special moving parts (a pull tab to make a plane 'take off' and a spinning disc to make the luggage go through the x-ray machine). The other book had at least 5 that I can remember. The problem is, my son remembers as well, and complains that it is "missing" a pull tab here and a spinner there. It is still a really cute book that we both love reading, but in this version, some of the charm was lost.

and the book is fabulous with so many flaps revealing fun imagery and little people
I got this for my daughter 2 months ago when she turned 18 months, and the book is fabulous with so many flaps revealing fun imagery and little people. This is one of her favorite books. The art is really great, detailed and colorful!

cool activity book!
very cool book - lots of activities/paper tabs (and paper wheels) to pull and push to see how systems (baggage system, planes landing) in an airport work. great for my almost 3 yr old. he did manage to tear off some of the parts.

Not “good” condition
The book was advertised as good condition but it’s covered in tape and rips.

Fun Book
My daughter loves it. There are lots of flaps and other neat interactive elements (without going overboard by resorting to buttons, lights, or sounds).

Shame on everyone involved in creating this book (that my toddler loves)
My 2-year-old loves this book. The drawings are cute, the captions are funny and the physical design is really amazing. I've read it to him maybe 20 times now, and just about every time I find a new little flap to open that I hadn't noticed before. That said, shame on everyone involved in creating it, from the illustrator to the editor. How is it that every single flight attendant and counter service employee is female, while every single pilot, driver and baggage handler is male? WITHOUT EXCEPTION! Seriously, what year is this? I'm not asking for some kind of forced, gender-reversal toy concepts, like pink fire engines or GI Joe tea sets. I'd just like the media my kids consume to REFLECT REALITY and not perpetuate outdated stereotypes.Usborne Publishing, please try harder.

Interesting for kids
The book itself was good although the copy I recieved was damaged and parts missing. Seller was quick to arrange a refund without returning the book.

Purchased this for my 12 month old grandson who was visiting from USA. He loves it especially when I do crazy voices and move the parts around.
