"Cambridg Soundworks should win an award for this one !"
After reading a number of good reviews on the OontZ 3 , I decided to try one. The price was low enough to take the risk and so I gave it a shot. When the package arrived, the box was rather small and I thought it was perhaps the wrong item because no speaker system that received such great reviews could possibly come in such a small box ! I was even more surprised when I opened the box to find the item exactly as the image portrayed in the ad and started to laugh thinking that there couldn't be so many people that believe this thing could possibly do what they said it would. I figured for the price it wasn't even worth it for me to send it back so I decided to have some fun with the little thing. Plugged in my Sony MP-3 player and fired it up as the unit did come partially charged. Instructions were easy enough to follow as the diagram clearly showed what every button and indicator light would do as well as the inputs for non wireless items and usb charging. I initially kept the volume low so as not to destroy the little thing right off but quickly discovered that increasing the volume did not bring about any distortion ! The clarity, fidelity of sound was amazing ! OK, so it wasn't as loud as the Bose but... I had it outside on my deck and my brother and I could feel the bass vibrations in the decking boards ! My wife came home while we were now "blasting" this thing and asked me to turn it down so we could speak ! She was totally blown away by what it could do and how clear it sounded. Next was to try the blue tooth side for my cell phone in the car to see how well it would perform as a hands free speaker system. Yet again it was outstanding ! This thing is so amazing sounding and SO portable, it's easier to move around than the Bose or any other player we have. It just replaced all of them because it takes up virtually no room at all... can be placed just about anywhere, even hidden from view and fill the area with great fidelity no matter what you are playing. I tested it with a variety of recordings to see if there would be any discrepencies in the sound quality. Clannad, The Doors, Motown, Jimi Hendrix, Moody Blues and many others all performing and sounding fantastic ! I use it on my patio when friends are over and can simply pickup the speaker and MP-3 player with one hand and move it to the kitchen counter.... the dining room for background music, etc... "They" say it's great for college dorms and I'm sure it is but it goes well beyond the dorm my friends ! My brother is ordering one to use with his laptop as an external monitor... again... so much more space saving than his old conventional monitor. It doesn't have a powered sub woofer but he said the bass is more than sufficient from such a tiny, portable unit ! We made comparisons to other systems... called it the working mans Bose and even made jokes that it was designed with "alien technology"... who knows ? Mebbe ? The engineers at Cambridge did a magnificent job on this one and even though it is built in China, you will NOT second guess the quality of this item ! I will be ordering a few more as gifts before someone realizes what a winner this is and the price starts to skyrocket or they become back ordered for a year due to demand !! Can I say more ?? Probably ! But I will simply end with this one closing remark.... "BUY ONE AND SEE" !

Reliable
Great little speaker works well in my car. I like the angle of the speaker, placing on center console by the stick shift and sound directs upward toward my head. Warning. Don't leave it on the dashboard in direct sunlight because housing will melt. Will still work like a champ in spite of being misshapen and taped together with scotch tape though. Quality and reliability. Product lasted 2 years before it recently started crackling and degraded sound comes out of the speaker. I mean, it's half melted from 2 seasons of the Florida summer sun, I think it held up nicely under the conditions I put it through. Replacing with same product because it is overall a great little speaker that has great battery life and sound quality.

Good but,..
Good price, gets loud, great battery and super easy bluetooth connection. Sound quality is subjective but I consider the Oontz angle solo to have a much better bass and sound overall than the Oontz angle 3 . Still a great value for money but I prefer to pair two Oontz angle solo or if only one speaker, I will still choose the Oontz angle solo over the Oontz angle 3.

Excellent Sound at an Excellent Price
If you're looking for an inexpensive Bluetooth speaker, look no further! This thing is surprisingly loud and beats nearly every speaker in this price category. I also own the smaller OontZ Angle Solo that I've had for a few years now and it still works flawlessly but needed a second speaker. Of course, since I was happy with the Solo, I didn't hesitate to purchase it's big brother. The Solo is about 2/3 the size of this speaker and side by side at lower volume, there isn't a lot of difference in sound between the two. If you crank it up however, the Angle 3 really shows off the 12 watts vs the 5 watts the Solo offers. The build quality is excellent. The speaker fits together perfectly and feels solid. It has a metal grill and silicone end caps. The matte finish resists finger prints and nothing rattles or feels cheap and it looks really sharp. The buttons are easy to press but not so easy that you accidentally press one when holding or moving the speaker. The speaker is extremely user-friendly. Its more difficult getting it out of the packaging than it is to set it up. It arrived with a 70% charge so there was no need to do anything except pair it with my phone, which it did on the first try. The speaker is plenty loud and has surprising bass for a speaker this size. Most brands have a tinny hollow sound. Not this guy. Just like the Oontz Angle Solo, it pumps out a good bit of bass. Now, it sounds good out of the box but if your phone or app has an equalizer, it can be improved. Unlike the Oontz Solo, this has silicone on both ends so you have multiple options to stand it up The Solo could stand up on its end but it would vibrate or move around even on lower volume so you really had to leave it on its base. The Solo is so small that it didn't really matter but with a larger speaker, you don't always have the space. This speaker was made to sit flat or stand on either end with no impact on performance. The battery lasts a long time but it also takes a while to charge up. Thankfully you can use it while charging. This is water resistant but the Solo actually has a better IP rating. This speaker can withstand water splashes, even with a direct hit from a nozzle but the Solo can actually withstand being submerged for up to 30 minutes. If you are on the fence about purchasing this speaker, just go for it. There are very few compact Bluetooth speakers that can deliver decent sound (especially bass) at this price and on this point, the Angle 3 definitely delivers. This speaker is well-built, has a good range and great battery life.

this thing actually bumps
this thing actually sounds really good.. it has two drivers, one for the left and one for the right.. they are about 40 mm each.. the grill is not removable, The speaker grill has such tiny holes that if you get it dirty, you can use some Scotch tape to remove what is stuck in it, most likely.. I listened to the entire album of licensed to Ill right after taking it out of the box and charging it a little, you can use it while it is still charging. now it may not thump like a pair of 12-in kicker solo baric subs hooked up to a 1200 watt digital monoblock amp.. lol but for a small speaker setup, this is definitely the best that I have heard at this size and price point. I'm really glad I picked these up. I'm the type of person that actually notices how the speakers in smartphones have been getting worse and worse... so I run an equalizer most of the time.. every pair of earbuds I have tried require an equalizer to reduce the sub bass and the extreme treble to make them sound halfway normal.. this little triangle box is so good, instead of reducing the sub bass and boosting some higher bass to get a little bit of kick.. this thing actually can reproduce Bass.. I mean not only was I able to leave the bass straight, but I actually boosted all the bass below 250 HZ and I only reduced the very high trebles because of my preference.. with most speaker setups if you want to hear the bass more, you would need to have the bass reflex side facing you, but this little system actually pushes more bass from the front of the drivers than it does from the passive bass reflex set up.. it seems the electronics are all at the end with the buttons.. which makes sense.. it has one large passive bass reflex side that gets driven by both of the drivers, so there probably isn't a divider between the two drivers at all, but I must say, the clarity is extremely good, even at full volume.. and the volume buttons on this control its own attenuator.. meaning that it does not change the volume setting of your device or smartphone.. so you can set the phone at what volume you want with the phone and then with the speaker box, you can also lower the volume on it.. I was playing it with both the phone and volume at full tilt.. but most of the time I would have it it with the volume turned down one press of the button from maximum on both the phone and on the speaker box. I'm actually calling it a speaker box because this thing is worthy. it's just over 5 inches long so it's big enough to really reproduce some bass.. surprisingly, and small enough to be very portable, plus the triangle shape should prove really nice for many applications.. I believe it has a decent sized battery.. I don't believe you can find something better for this price.. and the appearance? well the packaging it came in was way nicer than it needed.. and the appearance of the device, well this thing is very very nice, the end caps seem to be silicone which is awesome and it has very nicely designed foot pads to try to prevent it from moving around.. some reviews said that the base sounded better when the bass reflex side was facing downward but I heavily disagree.. I got the best bass from standing it on one end with the drivers actually facing me. I might actually buy a second one but this thing is nice enough that it doesn't really need it. maybe the sound would be even better with two of them paired together.. but I am very happy with it. I got a black one. I don't remember if it was available in different colors as I was shopping online quite a bit before deciding to try this one, I was assuming that I might return it if I wasn't happy with it but I'm definitely happy with it. it doesn't have the cool retro appearance that some speakers have, and I do love the retro appearance of smooth cones with concave caps that look like subwoofers with no grill in separate boxes.. but this thing sounds awesome and the shape is probably extremely convenient for me. it has some weight and the textures on it feel like top quality, and all of the print with words for information are on the side with the bass reflex which is just perfect.. I have not tried using it for a phone call yet but I see the singular pinhole where the microphone is at one of the corners.. it probably works just fine so long as you don't take a wad of refried beans and shove it into the hole lol.. very soon I will be playing some test tracks with crazy boosted sub bass. 😁😇 I wrote this review using the microphone on it, and I'm not even holding it up. so it does work, that's for sure. I believe the triangle shape, the decent amount of volume inside of the box and the angle of the passive bass reflex panel, combined with the fact that both drivers are acting on it, and that the large mass of the passive diaphragm, all contribute to its ability to reproduce... dare I say it.. sub bass. very cool. if I want to use it out and about, hopefully the battery can last, it's also cool that it has the 3.5 mm auxiliary input jack. I really like this pocket-sized system alot.

The Ultimate Portable Powerhouse for Your Next Adventure
Oh boy, do I have a story for you! It all started when I was looking for the perfect Bluetooth speaker to take with me on my next camping trip. I wanted something that was portable, durable, and most importantly, had great sound quality. After scouring the internet for hours, I finally stumbled upon the OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker, and boy am I glad I did. Let me start off by saying that this speaker is an absolute powerhouse. With its powerful 10-watt output, I was able to blast my music at full volume and still have it sound crystal clear. And speaking of volume, this thing can get LOUD! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to hear it over the sound of the campfire and the crickets, but boy was I wrong. I actually had to turn it down a few notches because it was so loud! But what really impressed me about this speaker was its wireless range. The box claims it can reach up to 100 feet, and I was skeptical at first, but I decided to put it to the test. I walked a full 100 feet away from the speaker, and not only could I still hear my music perfectly, but I was even able to control the volume and skip tracks from my phone. I mean, come on, how cool is that?! Now, let's talk about the battery life. I was a little worried that the battery wouldn't last through a full weekend of camping, but again, I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to use it all day on Saturday, and even after leaving it on overnight, it still had enough juice to last through most of Sunday. And when it finally did die, it only took a couple of hours to fully recharge. But the real kicker? This thing is water-resistant! I accidentally spilled a whole cup of water on it, and I thought for sure it was a goner. But to my surprise, it kept on playing like nothing had happened. I wouldn't recommend taking it for a swim, but it's definitely a nice peace of mind to know that it can handle a little splash here and there. The first time I used the OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker was at a backyard barbecue, and everyone was blown away by its sound quality. We played everything from classic rock to pop, and the speaker handled it all with ease. It even has a built-in microphone, which was perfect for taking hands-free calls without having to disconnect the speaker. Another thing that impressed me was how easy it was to connect to my phone. All I had to do was turn on my phone's Bluetooth, and the speaker immediately popped up as an option. It connected seamlessly every time, and I never experienced any lag or dropped connections. One thing to note is that this speaker is on the larger side for a portable speaker, but I didn't mind that at all. It's still small enough to easily pack in a backpack or duffel bag, and the added size means better sound quality and battery life. And last but not least, I have to give a shoutout to the OontZ customer service team. I had a question about the speaker, and I reached out to their customer service team via email. They responded within 24 hours and were incredibly helpful and friendly. It's rare to find a company that genuinely cares about its customers, but OontZ definitely impressed me in that regard. Overall, I would give the OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can't wait to take it on many more adventures in the future. If you're in the market for a portable Bluetooth speaker that packs a punch, look no further! Let's compare the OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker with the JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth Speaker, which is a competitive brand. Here's a breakdown of their features: 1. Waterproof and Durability: • OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker is IPX5 rated, which means it is splashproof, rainproof, and dustproof. • JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth Speaker is IPX7 rated, which means it is waterproof and can be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. 4. Connectivity: • OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker uses Bluetooth 5.0, which provides a strong and stable connection up to 100 feet away from the device. • JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth Speaker also uses Bluetooth 5.0 and supports PartyBoost, which allows you to connect multiple JBL PartyBoost-compatible speakers together for a louder sound experience. 5. Great for TV
Great for watching TV in the bedroom. Straight forward with the Bluetooth connection and dual pairing to TV. These portable little speaker provide impressive sound in a more controlled space around you, without filling the entire room of sound. I purchased the OontZ Angle 3 Dual Pairing speakers for my wife and daughter while they watch TV together in the our bedroom. They would turn the volume up so loud on the TV, you could hear it throughout the house. Problem solved with these amazing little speakers. I placed a speaker on each nightstand. Now, I can enjoy my sports on the living room TV, without hearing stranger things from the bedroom. The quality and look is solid, with several colors to select from. Wish I would have thought about these speakers sooner.

3 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speakers Tested
We were looking for a relatively inexpensive portable wireless Bluetooth speaker to replace a fun –looking Big Lots “boom box” style speaker that lasted for about a year. Our primary use is for streaming music or internet radio services such as Pandora and Spotify, and listening by the pool and while having dinner. My wife and I decided to take a listen to 3 highly reviewed speakers that received mostly positive reviews on Amazon. Here are the 3 speakers tested: 1. Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 (Cost: $27.99) 2. Anker SoundCore (Cost: $35.99) 3. JBL Flip 3 Splashproof ($81.30) We were really hoping that the less expensive speaker models would perform close to the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof, but that just wasn’t the case. Upon the very first look, when opening up the box, you get a sense that Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 is a very no-frills, inexpensive speaker. The packaging, the speaker, the extremely short, tiny USB charging cable. Visually speaking, this speaker screamed no-frills. Conversely, the Anker SoundCore gave the impression that you were opening up a well-constructed, tiny speaker. It was packaged nicely, easy instructions, it felt a lot more substantial than the Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3. And finally, the USB charging cable looked like your average size charging cable for your portable devices. Lastly, was the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof. At $81.30, it was a lot more money than we were hoping to spend on a portable pool speaker. It was plain to see visually that this speaker just looked “ more expensive” than the other two models. Great packaging, a super long and thick USB charging cable that came in an eye-catching orange colored jacket. The speaker itself looked awesome with its compact cylinder shape. Enough about the appearance… a speaker is all about ease of use and more importantly -- how it sounds. How did all 3 sound and how easy were they to use? On all 3 speakers in our test, we used 3 separate Samsung Galaxy 7s phones. We played the same identical songs on each speaker and set the volume identical on all 3 phones. Here were our results- 1. Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3. Unfortunately, this speaker was the least inspiring of the three speakers. The sound was clear. However, it sounded tiny, none to very little bass to speak of, it projected a rather flat sound with the various music we played through it. It was though extremely easy to use, and the Bluetooth worked flawlessly. I would generously give it 3 Stars. On sound alone, I’d say it’s more 2 Stars. 2. Anker SoundCore – This speaker was hands-down better than the Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 for just a few dollars more. Lots of great features – all of which worked perfectly. The only downside of the Anker SoundCore was that it lacked bass. The sound coming out of the Anker SoundCore is very balanced and fairly loud for such a small speaker. I would lean more towards the 4 Star mark on the Anker SoundCore simply for delivering a very nice, balanced, sound quality and is capable of filling a small room. 3. JBL Flip 3 Splashproof – At $81.30, we were really hoping that this wouldn’t be a situation where “you get what you pay for”. Unfortunately, it was in the end. Regardless of the song, or the type of music we played through it, it was far superior to the other two speakers. It worked flawlessly and the sound/projection of sound coming out blew away the other two speakers. The Flip 3 Splashproof produced a rich, full sound that was extremely clear and thumped with just the right amount of bass. It easily fills space with great clarity. All-in-all,the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof blew away this competition. 5 Stars. If you’re on a tight budget, you can’t go wrong with the Anker SoundCore. If you can swing the extra bucks for the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof – go for it! It sounds amazing! Update: Even though the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof sounds very good, the Bluetooth range is awful. As long as your phone is within a very short distance of this speaker you will be happy. The Bluetooth range on the Anker is WAY better than the JBL.
