Recommend! If you like the look of Gas Light It will make your light looks cool If you use the flame bulbs in lanterns with slightly frosted glass. Put them into porch lanterns, outdoor post lamp, entryway light, in dragon head lights at the front door, on your patio, on either side of garage, will definitely change the look of your house.  Install them in coach lights so they work upside down. The upside-down feature is crucial for vari SPECIFICATIONS:  Input Voltage: AC85V ~ 265V, 50-60HZ Light Source: LED Power: 7W Base: E26 Color Temperature: 1500K Tubular Shell Material: PC (Resistance of 105 Degree Celsius) ATTENTIONS:  Turn the power off before installing This product can not be used as emergency light Make sure nothing is covering the product The environment temperature of the lamp is -20℃-+50℃

Realistic but spastic...
I bought four of these. The flame effect is very convincing but a bit fast (looks like the candle is on crystal meth) It is good quality and works as described... I'd recommend it for exterior vs. interior use as it could cause an epileptic seizure in your living room.

So wonderful for mountain living
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I buy off amazon nearly daily but never write reviews but these are just so beautiful. We live in the mountains and though we don’t have a cabin our home very much has a cabin feel. Our outdoor lights were already lantern style so I really wanted to try these bulbs. Just perfect! We are currently buried in snow and the ambiance of the cabin, fire, and snow, is just wonderful. Also, very important when living out like we do is we are very night sky conscious. For ourselves and others in the area. We all enjoy the stargazing ability of living away from light pollution. These are very unobtrusive. They have a warm glow and illuminate a very short distance. I was able to look up at the sky from right underneath them and clearly see all the stars.

Gimmicky and a bit hard to deal with
Not a bad value for the price but they are definitely gimmicky (Ms. Patient described the flame effect as "cartoonish.")The "4 modes" should be read as more of a warning than a feature. They seem very inconsistent about which mode they start up in so be prepared to stand at the light switch flicking it on and off for awhile until you get what you want. Unless you've got more than one on a switch. Then, you flick the switch until one of them does what you want, followed by going around to the rest of the bulbs and unscrewing-rescrewing them until they match. They flame mode flickers enough that it's hard to create useful ambience. (Actual torches and oil lamps do have dancing flames, but they don't actually vary in brightness as much as these do.)They'll be useful for the porch lights on halloween and they fall into the category of "not bad for a few dollars" but they seem more like they're on the way to being a product, rather than being one. Definitely too hard to work with and too variable to put up with on a regular basis.

Looks good and remembers the mode that was last set.
Used on carriage lights on garage. These have four modes that you can use and you change the modes by turning the lights on and off within a few seconds. I use mine with photo sensors that come on when it gets dark. The cool thing is that it remembers what mode it was in so you don’t have to fuss with them once you have it set the way that you want. There are other brands out there that have a better flame effect, but this works very well.

One Lasted 4 days ,2nd one working great after about 14 days.
5 stars for features, 1 stars for longevity.Love the product, Just right light, not too dim nor too bright. All modes worked right out of the box.Ordered 2 more. The first 2 I placed in outdoor light fixtures with glass enclosures and an open bottom.Looks great in flicker mode. The first one still working after a few weeks, so put up the second one 4 or 5 days ago for the July 4th weekend BBQ. The second one quit working July 3rd after about 4 days working fine. Thought the switch must have gotten turned off. Nope, unscrewed the bulb and heard rattling sound from inside the bulb. HmmmNo physical bumps to the bulb fixtures both about 6 ft above ground on outdoor wall., Temperatures range from mid 50s to mid 80s in 24 hrs.Very Disappointed

Pretty Neat
I bought the first pack and was impressed to the point I bought another the next week. I have a tall torchiere lamp that is art-decco period. I used this LED in the top socket and is a nice addition to the room. When the fireplace is going and this lamp is on, it gives the room a nice glow. I used another on the porch and one for the outside entrance which gives guests a warm greeting. The one outside surprised me as the temperatures have reached sub-zero and it still functioned well and was beautiful against the falling snow.

Hot stuff..
It's not really hot just looks like it may be. We used the flame bulb along with the lamp base we bought to convert a lantern that used a battery operated candle. We replaced the candle with this bulb. We're watching now as it cast a flickering shadow on the walls. We're very happy with the flame action and looks of the bulb. Would you confuse this with a real flame? Probably not but I think it's about as close as you get to the real thing! We're happy with it.

These are so freaking cool!
Got them for our front porch. The flame effect looks amazing! Probably won't ever use the breathing setting, but the other setting are great. My husband can't shut up about how cool he thinks these are, and neither can I. We have had them installed for just over a week now and couldn't be happier. Fingers crossed they have a good life span to them.
