Exactly as expected
My kids arenโt allowed to play with ones so we were looking for a safe alternative. Ordered these and just kept a check on them as they cooked. They were great to play with and easy to reuse. Plenty more for the next time too

Same experience as other reviewers
Not sure how I missed the negative reviews either, which also reflect my experience. These did not cook evenly - the inside was still hard and white, while the outside was clear and cooked. If cooked longer, the outside just dissolves. Useless

Package cooking directions are bad
Require much more time to cook than package directions. I removed according to directions, then finished them in the microwave. Looking for dye free boba, this is not the best answer.

Where do I start?
The instructions on the package for making tapioca pearls are very wrong. They say to boil 10 minutes, then cover and remove from heat 3 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water. Iโve tried making these three different times, the first time following the instructions. They ended up a little soft on the outside with big white hard uncooked centers. I tried cooking them longer, they still had uncooked centers plus they broke in half. I tried some Youtuber instructions. Still no success. I reached out to the manufacturer, no response. I donโt think this product is ready for an American market.

Just what I expected
The tapioca pearls were just as expected. However the cook time is just over an hour and not 10min as instructed on the package.

Falls apart once it hits water
After 10 minutes of soaking in water these crumbled into nothing. Terrible quality. Also tried putting them straight into boiling water and they melt into goop before they get soft enough to eat.

Try some designed specifically for boba tea
We bought these to make boba tea. These were probably meant for something else. They did not cook evenly all the way through- the inside was still hard and white, while the outside was clear and cooked. If we cooked it even longer, then the outside would just become part of the gelatinous water. I think there are other brands that will cook up better for boba tea- though they will cost you more money.

Takes forever to cook.
The only problem I had with this product was the fact that it did not give clear instructions that were correct for cooking.
