Ensure Plus Milk Chocolate Nutrition Shake, 6 Pack

I was recovering from surgery and needed something I could have now and then that offered nutrients without me having to do hardly a thing. These taste pretty good, go down fast, and you can get back to healing. Or you can slam one when you're overwhelmed and doing too many projects and have plans to go have dinner, but this will hold you until then. I strongly feel that one shouldn't replace ALL of your meals with these? But when things get hectic or you want to replace ONE meal and go back to sleep: the Ensure is great.

Yummy chocolate drink that makes an easy drink replacement for a meal. Sweet enough, but not overly so. Kind of like chocolate ice cream melted & what you're drinking up is still slightly thick. I like that it doesn't have to be refrigerated until it's opened, though some may want to drink it chilled.It was tough to find a shake that didn't contain icky sucralose, so I'm glad this doesn't have that in the ingredients. (I know some people don't mind that aftertaste, but for those of us who are more sensitive to it, it's getting really hard to find products that don't contain it, even when some of those are already sweetened with actual sugar.)And I'm going to see how my tummy reacts to this if I end up drinking them daily, since I'm sensitive to dairy (which in a way is worse than being lactose intolerant, since taking lactase pills doesn't help me avoid tummy troubles or the other side effects of having anything with dairy). If I tolerate it well, I'm definitely switching one meal a day with a bottle of the Ensure PLUS, for both a calorie savings (overall) & to make sure at least one meal per day has the complete nutrients I need. Glad this one also has higher protein content, which is awesome since I'm getting a late start on my plan to get back into weight training.

I first tried these when I was on a vacation, kept getting too busy to eat, and needed to get something in my stomach. I had them sent to my hotel, put them in the mini-fridge, and boom - one for breakfast and another one for lunch. By the time evening rolled around, I definitely wanted dinner, but I got through the whole day without feeling lightheaded, hangry, or any similar pitfalls that can come with skipping meals. I also used these to take medications that are supposed to be taken with food, and I had none of the icky nausea that can happen when you take your meds on an empty stomach. All future vacations will involve having some of these shipped to my hotel before I even arrive. They taste pretty good, and my friend's elementary-age child agreed. The kid is a massively picky eater, and having these available shut down any arguments about not wanting to eat because she didn't like any of the food.

These Vanilla and Chocolate Nutrition Shakes are pretty tasty. I did make a mistake and drink one late at night, and that wasn't good for me. Had my heart beating. I won't make that mistake again. Drink during the day or early evening, and you should be O.K. I do recommend it, especially if you want to add on some lbs.

My commuting college student daughter likes Ensure Plus to grab for a meal replacement when she is on campus. My Mom also likes this when she is feeling a bit under the weather and doesn't feel like consuming a full meal. Highly recommended!

I like that it is somewhat filling so i can use it as a meal replacement now and then.
