Eating for both nutrient density and the Autoimmune Protocol has never been so easy thanks to The Nutrient-Dense Kitchen! If you have further eating restrictions, a handy chart helps you locate the recipes that are low-FODMAP, coconut-free, or low-carb/ketogenic. If you are pressed for time, the same chart will help you identify recipes that take 45-minutes or less to prepare, can be made in your Instant Potยฎ, or only use one cooking vessel for easy cleanup. In addition to the recipes youll find five sets of meal plans and shopping lists to quick-start your approach to eating for nutrient density. Mickeys recipes and guidance help you set yourself up for success without sacrificing time or flavor! Review: The Final Verdict - If you are diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (like Hashimoto's, Celiac, Crohn's, or Rheumatoid Arthritis) and want to try the Autoimmune Protocol, this book should be your bible. It removes the guesswork from the diet, provides genuine culinary inspiration, and teaches you how to feed your body for deep cellular recovery. It is well worth the investment for both beginners and veteran AIP followers looking to refresh their meal rotation. Review: Buy this book, itโs a gem!๏ฟผ - I have followed Trescottโs AIP protocol since the release of her first book in 2014, so I was anxious to order her latest offering. Her positive approach of โnutrient denseโ foods appeals to me, as I was raised by an Adele Davis โLetโs Eat Rightโ aficionado in the 60s and 70s, with an overlay of Dr. Bielerโs โFood Is Your Best Medicineโ. Restrictions and long lists of โdonโtsโ can be tiresome, and I believe food is one of our great resources and a joy. I was not disappointed with her latest release as it is as visually beautiful as it is well organized. Not only does she include her basic, go-to standards like bone broth and no-mato sauce, but she treats us to many more adventures I had not seen in other AIP books. I got recipe testing immediately, and the horseradish sauce became an instant staple, along with creamy mushroom soup and her famous bacon-liver pate. The gorgeous fish curry soup that dons the cover was my first foray, and I was not disappointed. When my son complained about the bitter taste of turnip, I quickly substituted sweet potato to excellent effect. The broad range of items, including appetizers, smoothies, entrees divided into meat type, and lovely not-too-sweet desserts has kept me busy. While no single cookbook can (or ever has!) address every palate or sensitivity, I appreciate the way Trescott offers substitutions and encourages readers to experiment with recipes. What puts this book over the top are itโs extensive resources, such as 5 different meal plans with shopping lists, nutrient source tables, and clear instructions designed to inform and empower the reader. Thank you!

AMAZING Resource & My New Favorite Cookbook!
I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease over a year ago, and found tremendous relief from my autoimmune symptoms through the autoimmune protocol. I feel better than I've felt in years! With that said, I am always on the lookout for new autoimmune protocol cookbooks, and The Nutrient Dense Kitchen is my new favorite! The author does an amazing job explaining the importance of nutrient density, as well as a great overview of the autoimmune protocol. Best part of all? The recipes are easy to read, picky eater friendly, and accompanied by gorgeous pictures! Bonus? A whole meal planning chapter complete with shopping lists. Whether you are on the autoimmune protocol, or you are just trying to get a clean, nutrient dense diet, this cookbook is for you!

Best AIP cookbook out there
LOVE LOVE LOVE this cookbook! I have celiac and an autoimmune thyroid condition and multiple food sensitivities, so Iโve used many AIP cookbooks for recipe ideas. This one is by far the most beautiful (photos of every recipe) and the best in terms of appealing recipes that do not require a large arsenal of exotic ingredients. So excited to cook my way through this! A final note - I bought this used to save a few dollars, but it would have been worth every penny to buy new - hardcover, full page color photo for every recipe, and beautifully organized.

amazing recipes
I have not yet read the information at the beginning of this book, but had made quite a few recipes which I found very flavorful and easy to make. If you appreciate quality ingredients, then they should not be hard for you to find when using them to cook. All recipes have beautiful pictures and the quality of the book is beautiful as well.

This makes the AIP diet so much easier!
I'm so glad I found this cookbook and wish I'd had it right when I started my AIP. With so many things off limits I was struggling to adjust at first. Initially, I bought the book because I was interested in the information about which foods were most nutrient dense and helpful for people with autoimmunity. Then I started flipping through the recipes and couldn't wait to try them. I've cooked several now and am really pleased. I no longer feel like I'm missing out on good food which makes this diet (way of life?) so much more sustainable. As I write this I'm eating some of the pate from the recipe on page 72 and it's actually good, even though I don't really like liver. Thank you Mickey, for making my life so much nicer. And for making liver taste good. I'm sure I'll keep using these recipes even after I've made it through the reintroduction phase.

Best cook book in my library of books
I have Hashimoto and have been looking for a cook book with healthy and easy recipes. This book is fabulous. Iโve been using it for a few weeks and everything Iโve cooked is flavorful. Iโm feeling better each day. One of my favorite recipes is the pomegranate Thyme Beef, my husband is asking for this once a week, I submitted carrot juice for the pomegranate. One of my favorite segments in the book is the Nutrient Sources Table, Iโve referred to it when planning my weekly menu.

Simple, straightforward and delicious. This book is packed with information and nutritious recipes.
This book, along with Mickey Trescottโs other books, is simply wonderful. It includes information on what foods to get your vitamins and minerals from and how to best get your nutrients. The recipes look delicious and there are even meal plans, shopping lists and a guide for cooking methods! Iโm really happy with this book and I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful recipes
I'd been doing Wahls protocol for a few months but it wasn't helping so I've recently switched to more of the AIP paleo approach. I am so hooked on this cookbook. The recipes are beautiful and tasty with minimal "fancy" ingredients. Mickey is so talented. Coming from Wahls, where there recipes are just very health focused, but don't always make sense to the palette (such as smoothies with a side of liver) this is such a treat. I do not feel at all restricted.

Lots of new recipes to try
May be some difficulty sourcing some ingredients in Ireland so extra research for substitutes required. But overall great variety & choice in book!
