this book is perfect for students that didn't grasp everything at school or that left school a long time ago. every exercise in the book, will show you how to solve a problem, step by step. by the time you get to the last problem, you will understand the concept. the author is always available if you have any questions. he also offer classes that are very useful as well. the most important key is not to solely focus on solving problem, but understand the concept of the exercise. always ask yourself why is this problem given, then ask question and do further research about the problem until you understand the point of the topic. the actual PE exam is very conceptual. if you just know how to solve problems without understanding the meaning of the exercise, your chances to pass will be very slim! great book! thank you

In 2020 I took the FE exam Review that Wasim offers and paired it with his practice problem book and the NCEES practice exam and passed the test on the first attempt. For that reason in 2021 I decided to enroll in his PE course. The course is problem driven, with enough theory to understand the concepts. I studied evey module and solved every problem in the book. In addition, I purchased the NCEES practice exam and solved three times as if it was the real deal with time constraints. I took the test December 8 and passed it on my first attempt. I strongly recommend the book and his course.

Just like his books on FE Preparation, Wasim has created this new book for PE Electrical Power with tons of questions and varied different subjects to cover the entire syllabus of the PE exam. I strongly recommend to prepare this book and take it with you as a reference material for the exam. No question, I am taking it with me this October. I had now cleared the PE Exam in my first attempt (Oct 2018 sitting). Thanks to Wasim Asghar's book. It really helped me in my preparation.

I am really happy that Wasim made an effort to prepare a good reference for PE Electrical exam. This book will be one of the main references in my PE exam. This book's chapters have been listed exactly based on exam's parts in the index. Use this book for knowing that, what you should know in the exam. Some of the friends are making a big mistake in their reviews. They think, this book should be the only one you read and prepare yourself for exam. Nooooo!!!! This book will put you in track. You are learning lots of things BUT more than that, you will understand which parts you should be focused more. Do not forget!!! PE is not like FE exam that you able to pass it just with mathematic. For PE, you MUST read different sources DEEEPLY. So, use Wasim's book to learn and know, what should you read to pass your exam. I passed my FE exam with just Wasim's FE preparation book and I am pretty sure, I will be able to pass my PE exam with Wasim's help and this book too.

Although I did not pass the PE exam this time around (April 2019), I did make significant improvements by preparing myself with Wasim's Study Guide for PE Electrical and Computer. I admit that I didn't complete this Study Guide 100%, but it is in my plan to do all exercises from front to cover as I embark once again to retake the PE exam this coming October. Wasim's Study Guide has a lot of problems that covers all of the topics in the PE Power Exam. I recommend his guide to all of those who seek to not just do more practice problems, but truly understand the concepts behind the problem. The practice problems in this book are very basic in nature. The questions in the real exam are very different. I would say that the questions in this book are more FE type questions. I’m glad that I used multiple books to study for the exam. This book is definitely not enough to pass the PE exam.

Problems are not a good depiction of actual PE Exam. I didn't not solve all the problems in this book. I used this book mostly to understand topics I was very week on such as motors, the NEC and per unit, reliability and lightening. It's helped me to get familiar with these topic to then practice harder problems. I did pass the exam and still brought in the book to sit the exam.

Wasim's PE Power study guide and FE study guide were very helpful in preparation for the PE and FE exams, both of which I passed on my first attempt after being out of engineering school for 14 years. Definitely shouldn't serve as your only study guide, but both are a must-have for those who need to brush up on their skills and those who learn best by performing the calculations. Practice is the key to passing both exams, and you will receive tons of it with these books. Also, the author is available by email and is happy to answer any questions you may have about his books or anything else pertaining to the exams.

This study guide is a great way to start off your PE Power Exam review/studying. I am currently working through it slowly to learn new concepts and remember already learned concepts. The introduction pages are very useful in helping to identify which codes/reference books are relevant to each sub-section. A great bonus with this study guide is that the author is very prompt in responding to questions or further explaining concepts.
