I have known this product for 50 years
My grandmother was a ballet dancer and right into her 80's she used this every day having used it for removing stage make up in her youth. When I began using make up she introduced me to it and it did the job very well even removing waterproof mascara. However I was a teenager with oily skin so it didn't suit me and I started using baby oil for my eye make up and a wash off cleanser for the rest of my mu. Now I am older I have gone back to it but I remove with a hot cloth and it is every bit as good as other hot cloth cleansers like Eve Lom. It is definitely not for young/oily skin and it will leave a greasy residue so you need to apres wash or use a toner. Teenagers leave it along as you will get blackheads but for dry skin this is cheap and brilliant. I also use it on my knees and ankles when applying fake tan as it prevents orange knees.

this is a useful product
I ordered this just because I'd read about it in a magazine & wanted to try it.Unfortunately it was badly handled during delivery. Obviously crushed at the bottom of a big pile of parcels & it arrived with a crack round the plastic pot, so that the product had leaked. It slipped out of my hands like a bar of soap! But I kept it (in a plastic bag!) It removes make up and, I have discovered, it's the best foot "cream". Not really a cream as it has a consistency a bit like coconut oil. But apply to feet before putting your socks on for the day & at night time when you take your socks off, your feet will be amazing!!

Extremely oily
I think my mother used this product in the Seventies and she had sensitive skin which I've inherited. The tub arrived on a very hot day and, though sealed, was covered in grease. I opened it and tried some of the product on my face but it was incredibly oily. Despite this, my face didn't feel moisturised. I used it a few days later to remove makeup and it did this very successfully so I'll keep it for this purpose and return to using Aveeno as my daily moisturiser.

Make up remover
I have used Crowe's Cremine for years to take my make up off, even heavy eye make up, it shifts the lot. It's wipe off (I use a cloth) then skin tonic to totally clean the skin. I have found it non-allergic, doesn't leave the skin feeling dry and can take off just about any make up, even the make up I use on a port wine stain. I discovered it when I helped a make up artist, as I understand it's used in the theatre. Also, a little goes a long way.

Not Stored Properly?
I've used this product on and off for years although it has got more difficult to find. So, was delighted to find it on Amazon BUT, I think it has not been stored properly or at the correct sort of temperature. Instead of being a smooth cream, it is part cream, part liquified and has gritty little lumps in it. Very disappointed but too late to return. Waste of money.

Best eye makeup remover ever!
I have used this product for years and years. I use it for removing eye make up, it’s so gentle. Just gently apply with fingertips and then wipe off with tissue or cotton pad. I then like to use a face wash for rest of my face (my skin type has always been oily/combination). My mum, however, who introduced me to this in the first place when I first started wearing makeup (40 years ago!) had normal/dry skin and liked to use it on all of her face. She would tissue it off but then leave it at that, as it is very moisturising. On the rare occasions that we couldn’t get hold of any, we were always disappointed with any other brands we tried. My daughter is now a fan of it too!

Mum's fave for many years - now I know what the fuss was about!
My mum has been using this for, ahem, 65+ years, and swears by it so I thought I'd give it a go and see what all the fuss was about. I usually use a makeup remover cream such as No. 7, and struggle to remove eye makeup. Well, with Cremine you hardly need to do anything, one sweep and it's gone! I do find you need to wash your face after use as it is rather greasy (it wouldn't work so well if it wasn't), which I never bother to do after a normal remover, but other than that it is excellent. As I don't really want the greasiness on my face I tend to only use this on make-up heavy days or days when I wear mascara, but it is certainly the most efficient makeup remover I have come across. Thanks mum!

Wonderful Crowes, I used to use this as a makeup remover when I was a 14 year old appearing in my first summer season and am still using it now, I am convinced it is why I have very few lines and everyone tells me I do not look 70 - thank you Crowes Cremine
