Excellent Vogel product. Always good to have in the cupboard in case needed. Calms the liver - it did for me, especially when overindulged like at Christmas. Stick to the dosage, as it is quite powerful.

I use this company’s Sleep remedy, which I’ve found highly effective, so tried this. Noting that other reviews had advised caution when starting taking Milk Thistle, I ignored the recommendation to take 15-20 drops and started with just three. This small intake had an immediate effect: I felt unsettled, emotional and somewhat disoriented. This is similar to reactions I’ve had to homeopathy. My first thought was that the remedy was too much for me while in an already depleted state. Nevertheless, I persevered, and my system has become accustomed to the substance. I find Milk Thistle helpful in managing emotions centred on anger, frustration, ‘not being good enough’, not being in control, and grief. Like the other Vogel natural remedies, this one somehow manages unwanted or difficult blocked emotions rather than suppressing or masking them. I feel subdued after using it, but the ‘don’t know what to do with myself’ frustrated feelings are very much reduced. If you are sensitive to emotional change you might well find, as I did, that a very cautious start with small doses suits you best.
