Neogeo Mini Japanese Version - Neo Geo Pocket

I love this. I will give a give a quick description, as I’ve watched many YouTube videos. And I’ve read many other reviews. This item is great for someone who wants a beginner Neo Geo experience. Now this is not for the “Purists” who demand perfection. This is aimed at someone who can not afford a MVS or AES and want to experience the famous games SNK is known for. The only issue I could find with the mini is 2 things. If it’s going to have a screen implemented in the system they should have made an option to have it battery powered for mobility. My second complaint would be the output from HDMI. It is ok, but not great. Yes it will project the images of the game on the screen. But they have a soft cloudy texture to them. With technology in today’s market this should not be an issue of quality. Some people may complain about the controllers not having micro switches and them being analog. For me this was not an issue. So my final verdict it’s great! Has plenty of those arcade fast and fun games. The screen in the actual console puts out a great image. The package offered here on Amazon is a great deal. Way better than purchasing everything separately. For the purists who want a top of the line Neo Geo Experience, this is not for them. But for someone who wants an affordable way to play Neo Geo classics for 1/10th the price of sourcing all the actual hardware and games. Then this is for you. Overall great buy and has already became my favorite “mini” system over the snes and nes classic!

I remember going to arcades as a kid and seeing that red game cabinet in any of the arcades in the 90's with the multi games available to play. This is great because you get that and more, Neogeo gives you so many of your favorite titles and the screen is great for playing on that mini game. But I bought the connection for the TV and the two controllers the controllers work really well too. The only thing is that you cannot charge the device you have to take the plug wherever you go and plug it into a wall or a usb device to keep it on. I havent tried connecting it to the TV yet but im sure it would work fine. Oh and i got this when it was on sale

Says it comes with two controllers, so I set it back once and it still only came with the console. Love the console though. Runs smooth. Just attach a portable power pack and you’re good to go!

Got the Japanese version mini neogeo for Christmas. It came with the wrong hdmi cord, it requires an adapter for mini hdmi. Smudge on screen that doesn’t wipe off. No way to contact seller. Had to purchase adapter separately for 7.99. That’s why I’m giving this 3 stars.

The last mini to add to my collection. This is the international edition. Many fighting games with a sprinkle of run and gun games. I always was a bigger fan of KoF than Street Fighter or MK. Item came perfectly packaged. Neo-geo did not cut corners. Screen on the unit is fantastic. I actually hooked this up to a CRT tv using an adapter and the quality looks phenomenal. Sure it may not have all the games you want, but its well worth $75. Mine was supposed to come with a white and black controller but I got two whites. Not complaining though. They look and feel great! Better get one before prices of these start going through the roof.

soo i had a snes never played a neo geo. i got the 99 that came with 2 controllers. the controllers are very nice. they dont click but i never played one so this was not a big deal for me. the games on the tv are not as good as i would hope but not bad. im sure my tv has a way to make it look better. the main thing is my family and i have had a blast playing the games and this is why i gave it 5 stars. if u never had a neo geo the 40 games are great and i have enjoyed all but 2.

I bought this because I wanted the Red Japanese Version (since I already had the black American one) The box was indeed the "Japanese" or "USA" Version, which is red like the Candy Cabinet Neo-19 But to my surprise, once I opened the box, the Black american version was inside. The remotes had no problems, they are legit and work fine, the Neo Geo mini also works great, BUT, it's not what they claim. SO BEWARE

One control do not work as expected

En lo personal me encantó el paquete, una Neo Geo mini con 2 mandos y el cable HDMI que debería de haber incluido SNK en el paquete, a un precio excelente (tal vez el precio justo en el que debería de haber salido al mercado). Se puede jugar muy bien directamente en el Neo Geo Mini, pero teniendo 2 mandos, jugarlo en la TV es lo más recomendable. Mi experiencia personal es que se juega muy bien y la animación es buena, supongo que sólo los puristas de la Neo Geo original le encontrarán algún pero. Los 40 juegos instalados son un viaje al pasado, fui de los que siempre quise una Neo Geo pero, como con casi todos mis amigos, su alto costo no me permitía adquirir una (o pedírsela a mis padres mejor dicho). Este sistemita es una manera de jugar títulos que sólo había visto en revistas y en arcadias. Sé que mucha gente le puso peros al salir, entre otras cosas por el precio de salida al no incluí batería interna ni cable mini HDMI así como por la calidad de la imagen al jugarlo en TV, pero considero en lo personal que vale la pena y me estoy entreteniendo un montón jugando cada juego. 5 estrellas por alegrar a mi niño interior :)

I got the Neo Geo Mini earlier than expected and it arrived in excellent condition, no damages. It looks and works great and I got the Japanese version not the American version like some people have been getting. This is a great system for hardcore SNK fans. All of the best fighting games from SNK is in the Japanese version and yes the language can be changed to English. Worth the wait and money considering the two controllers alone would cost over $100 and the Neo Geo itself would also cost over $100. The package comes with two controllers and a HDMI mini to HDMI cable. It's a no brainer, buy it!

Excelente producto, me llegó la versión japonesa, tal cual como decía en la descripción del producto, y este pack está al mejor precio del mercado, busque por varios lados y solo aquí lo encontré al mejor precio, ya viene con los 2 mandos y el cable HDMI, que por cierto el cable HDMI es de gran calidad a pesar de no ser el de snk.

Good price for this bundle, I bought this bundle just for the gamepads, I wanted an international version because I prefer the games on that one. But I will probably keep both now since they both have diffrent games. The price can't be beat for this bundle it includes the system, 2 gamepads and an hdmi wire for $130, separately they cost $200 altogether. Recommended.
