Clear part not snapping all the way

I had trouble with mine snapping all the way

How do you remove the screen protector so that it won’t be in the way of my tempered glass?

My husband used an exacto knife and cut the plastic out for me and it's a perfect cut. You can't even tell it was there. The problem I'm having now is that the case lifts my tempered glass in certain areas causing bubbles and I am so anal about having bubbles on my screen. I've has this case on for 2 days and I think I'm going to take it off because of that.
