why does one black shoe say "nubuck" and the other just says black? both pictures show a "nubuck" shoe? when in my cart it looks smooth black

I also have the same issue, ordered the "Black" and the picture show suede look, then the "Blackk", yes with 2 "k" is the leather one. When in cart, it shows the black leather. So now I am very confuse. My size left only the "Black" with the suede looked picture. Sharon, care to share which version of the "black" shoe that you have received?

they are pretty much so but you can still slip on ice and greasy spots but in rain they are fine. If they are wet and you walk on smooth tile or linoleum you want to be careful but these are the best shoes i have found for comfort it takes about a week to break them in. Hope this helps

are the insoles removable?

Yes, they are. It takes some work but you just gotta keep working at the edges and then pull em out. not an easy task but i've been doing it for years to slip my orthotics in. patience and working around the edges, once the edges go it comes out. there are also like two strings that are glued under the insole, you can reach scissors under and cut them. good luck. best sneaker ever
