Dodge RAM Pickup Replacement Fog Light Assembly - 1-Pair

Like others, I bought these to replace my waterlogged, cracked and hazed fog lights. I installed these in my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 without issue.The old ones are held on by 2 nuts each on the top, save these, the new lights do not come with nuts. Once these nuts are removed, I gave a little pressure on the old lens themselves, towards the engine bay from the outside. This may not be needed, but mine hadn't been moved in 16 years so they were a little "stuck".These are molded Left and Right so be sure you install them properly. Both the old and new lights are marked with L and R.Install by inserting the light into the bumper bay, sliding it onto both already affixed bolts. You may have to adjust it a little bit so that the lens cleanly fits into opening. Install the nuts.There is a spring loaded screw that is easily accessible that controls the up/down of the lens itself.Install but do not fully tighten the nut.

Received one correct and one incorrect light (wrong model), and the correct light had the hinge pin popped out. The company did a great job of getting replacements sent out immediately. Unfortunately, one of the replacements had the same hinge issue. The problem appears to be that the adjustment screw was tightened down too much, which spread the bracket ears and allowed the short hinge pin to pop out. The spring on the replacement is also substantially weaker than stock. (I swapped the old heavier spring into the new unit) The light itself performs well, and the adjustment is adequate. (Remember that fog lights are designed to illuminate an area immediately in front of the vehicle, hence the more downward mounting position.) I gave it 3 stars because even with all the problems, the price makes up for some of it.

The product installed easily and works great. I did have to make sure to hold them all the way at the top of the adjustment settings in order to fit in the pocket on the bumper properly. The product arrived in a timely manner and they took about 30 minutes to install. It did help that the top plastic cover of the bumper was missing so that I could see how to adjust them to the top. To install open the engine cover and install from the top of the bumper.

These are high quality replacement housings with mounting brackets. Fully adjustable up and down via a spring loaded adjustment screw. Only bad thing was one of the replaceable bulbs (#893) was broken inside one of the assemblies when received. For custom applications, they measure 3-7/8" in diameter and accept a PG-13 lamp base, (bulb # 880,890,893, & more.)

OK, except 1 light had the lens glued on crooked, about 20 degrees.Works OK and not a big deal, just noticeable when light is off.

fast delivery,easy to put on and very bright,for a great price,and the shiney lens makes my truck stand out agaian..took me a 1/2hr. to replace old with the new ones by myself on a 98 dodge ram 1500 4x4...recommend these to all dodge owners that have the sun faded fog light instead of paying the high dollar everyone else wants...

My first complaint is it took to long to receive them,second the plastic bracket that holds the lights were about .75in to long they didn't line up in the pockets.i just swapped the old for the new retaining my original brackets.lucky the the lights fit my old brackets...lights themselves are nice just keep your old brackets..

Lights were switched in boxes, example, right light was placed in left box and left light was in right box. Passenger side is very loose fitting.
