Not bad, but not good enough
I am very susceptible to the cold. My hands and feet are cold any time it drops below 70 degrees. These socks are an improvement over the ones from the past. The batteries are lighter. The socks are good well-fitting substantial socks. And they did keep my toes warm in 45 degree weather. But my feet were cold, except for my toes. The batteries take a long time to charge. And even in the house at 65 degrees my feet were still cold, except for my toes.I can't imagine going through the process of recharging them every few hours and washing them by hand every night. What I will do is what I have been doing. I sit on a heated throw blanket. I put a light blanket over my legs to retain the heat. My feet rest on a heating pad. And my shoes sit on the heating pad. The thicker the shoes, the better the results. When I go out to walk my dog, thick shoes retain the heat for quite a long time even in very cold weather.I give these three stars because they do warm my toes (but nothing else), and they are an improvement over the old designs. But when it gets really cold, I would much rather have my heavy shoes or boots (warmed by my heating pad) rather than these socks. If I had it all to do again, I would spend the $70 on a full-size heating blanket or a heated gizmo meant specifically for the feet such as office workers use.Right now, I am sitting on my heated throw blanket, my feet are on the heating pad, my shoes are also on the heating pad, and I am comfortable as all get out and ready to take a comfortable 15 to 30 minute walk with my dog. I'm still wearing the socks, but I don't think I'll bother putting the batteries back in when I go outside. The socks weren't enough of a factor to make a difference.

I really like these socks
I really like these socks! Easy to recharge the batteries using either USB or wall plug. Cord that attaches from sock to battery can be wrapped around and placed in battery pocket of sock so it doesn't pop out when you go to adjust the heat level or check if the battery is still active. Batteries are light enough not to hold down to the top of the sock where the battery pocket is.The heating element is only in the toes and only on the bottom of the toes, but it does a good job of keeping your foot warm. There is a high and low setting - low seems perfect for ~40 degree weather without moving around. It hasn't snowed yet so I cannot say if this works well in those conditions. The first day I got them, I changed them over night, put them on and turned them to low at about 10AM. At 3:30 the battery was drained and toes started to get cold - so for me they lasted ~5 hours. I am also glad they sell the batteries separately because an 8 hour+ day of cold toes is not going to fly without another set of batteries. Note: I am sitting for most of the day and circulation to my feet isn't that great to begin with. I am not happy they do not sell extra chargers because it would be great not to have to carry around the charger to work or in the car while still having one at home.

He really liked them! He used them two times for skiing
Bought these for my fiance. He really liked them! He used them two times for skiing. And they kept him out skiing longer before needing to warm up! The battery packs came up nice and high so they were above the top of the ski boots. Also, the heating element is on the bottom of the socks, which seems nice for skiing. (I feel like my toes get cold from the bottom up.) I bought myself a different type of heated sock (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M679XOM/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_20) which heated from the top. Also, my battery pockets did not clear the top of my ski boots, which was a bit annoying. However, think my socks were a little warmer, since I have poorer circulation than my fiance yet my feet seemed to stay warmer than his, so I won't complain about my socks.Battery-heated socks are the greatest thing ever for skiing! I wish I had found these sooner. The only caution I have is to be careful not to lose a battery, especially if you are using them for skiing. My fiance lost a battery and we were very, very sad, looking all over the ski resort. Fortunately, we think it fell off in the cafeteria since it was turned in to the desk, so we got it back. I plan to add KAM snaps to the top of the battery pockets for next year.

Socks work Ok up to -15 Celsius, and were mildly uncomfortable
I have used these socks a few times this past winter. They worked well for keeping the chill off in milder temperatures, but did not perform as well at temperatures lower than -15 Celsius. The wires could be felt in the toes when moving around--although this was bearable. The battery pack was uncomfortable when wearing higher boots as they rubbed on my legs. The majority of the heat is focused to the toe area and doesn't heat the rest if the foot quite as well. I used these for snowmobiling and ice fishing. I will confine to use these as they DO help keep my toes warmer.

I Like Them!!!
I have been quite happy with these socks! I only wear them while sitting in my Lazyboy chair or while in bed. I don’t know how good they would be to wear outside as I haven’t done that!

Très bon produit, je travaille a l’exterieur et je n’ai jamais froid aux pieds. Ajoutez un petit fermoir pour éviter de perdre vos batteries. J’en ai perdu une sans m’en rendre compte.

As expected
Took months to arrive. Bought for my husband and he seems to like them, except the battery is not very comfy.

A great heated sock
Could not find a set of heated socks for a child. I ordered these in a small even though they are way to big for her, however they work great. She says it feels like sitting beside the fire. I would recommend these to anybody.
