Great but unique in its class
Touted as the best maple syrup on Amazon, with a sticker applied to the bottle stating the same. My experience was a complete surprise. This syrup is unlike any other maple syrup I've tried. It's like a different species or type of maple was used. There is a component in the flavor that is so unique, it evades explanation. One reviewer even mentioned"medicine-y." Agreeing with that person, I too say it not in a negative, but in uniqueness. You may or may not like what this component adds to the experience. I cannot, with authority, claim that this unexpected component is positive or negative. This syrup is definitely great, but in a class by itself. Therefore, I hesitate to rank it at a simultaneous taste-test between it and two other highly rated syrups which I've also reviewed — Hidden Springs Maple and Coombs Family Farms — my two competitors for this review.

Slightly burnt flavor ruined what otherwise seemed like a great syrup
Canadian Finest Maple SyrupPros...- Consistency, it is slightly thinner than normal Maple Syrup here in the US, and I find that I do like the thinner consistency better.- Sweet flavor but not artificial tasting like US SyrupsCons...- Slightly burnt flavorI liked the syrup, but the slightly burnt flavor really ruined it for me. If it didn't have that burnt flavor to it I think it would have been a spectacular syrup. This is my first try with a real Canadian Maple Syrup, so I am not sure if this is normal or if I just happened to get a bad batch. I may try it again at a later time or more likely I may simply try a different brand as I saw a lot of potential for the syrup if it just wasn't over shadowed by that burnt taste.Update:- As seen in the comments, I was contacted by the seller and they did ship me out a second container of Syrup. Unfortunately it still has that burnt flavor taste for me, so I am guessing that is part of the normal expected flavor. Obviously a lot of people are not tasting this burnt flavor given the reviews, so it may still be worth trying for you. Given the sellers communication and willingness to work with me I have increased my rating to 3 stars despite no actual change in the product its self. While I cannot recommend this particular product on its own Merits, any Seller who communicates and works with their customers like this definitely gets my recommendation.

Great All-Natural Maple Flavor
As part of a new lifestyle change, I've started dabbling in healthier, more natural foods, especially exploring more "superfoods". Many of the recipes I've been using have started calling for real, high quality maple syrup because of the benefits over refined sweeteners (white sugar), like antioxidants and minerals like zinc and manganese (which improves immunity and metabolism respectively). For me, these are just bonuses. I'm not a health nut by any means, and while I love cane sugar, for my own benefit, I need to find natural sweet replacements most of the time. I don't have maple syrup every day, nor do I use it as my primary replacement (I use wonderful raw honey for that), but this syrup is exactly what I need sometimes, and my pancakes have never tasted so lumberjack-y.It is deliciously and obviously maple-y and a very pleasing rich brown. It's sweet with some depth to its flavor, and for as yummy and pure as it is, it's worth the price to avoid cheapo processed syrups in the grocery store. No regrets here, and it will last a long time.

No corn, versatile sweetener, yummy on pancakes!
Oh my gosh! This is THE best. After years of using TJs grade B maple it started making me "unwell". Being diagnosed with a corn allergy, I now follow a couple of " corn allergy" blogs. I was shocked to find out that the FDA doesn't even REQUIRE corn or corn derivatives to be listed on the label when used! Oh yeah, it's true. So HFCS might not be physically dumped in your honey, but it's commonly fed to the bees! And of course, there's maple syrup-- not just the obvious grocery store gunk, but even our American producers might be tempted to add it.... And given my incredibly restricted diet, we've test 'run' several, and I emphasize the word RUN, ahem. So looking at Canada, where corn use if actually restricted since they DO consider it an allergen in Canada and actually every country in the world but OURS considers it a potential allergen (look at your pills, they have 4-5 corn derivatives, look em up, I'm telling you the truth). So I now restrict Maple to Canadian sources, and I don't trust labels AT ALL. This producer is verifiably local and family owned and operated. Plus, it's incredibly yummy! I eat it on so many things, and it was used a lot in Thanksgiving foods. It is not quite as dark as TJs but very good. Flavor doesn't club you with maple, so used as about half of your sweetening in a recipe it's good. Overall, I'm very happy to have found a good producer of an old fave!
