Updated Review: Unexpectedly Great Customer Service & even better pricing for great product
The first time i ordered this product, i did not have a fantastic time and didn’t really get to try the product as I had issues installing. I didn’t bother to contact customer service as i figured it was my loss of $8, i left an honest review instead but this team wasn’t ready to let me slip. Without ever even requesting, i got a random package in the mail today and to my surprise it was another pack of iCarez screen protectors. That alone brought my opinion of this product to around a 3 because above and beyond customer service like this is never something you expect, especially for a product at this price point. This time around the only issue i had installing was the dust in my own house, so i had to extensively dust before attempting to put the protector on as it kept falling onto my screen. If you’re a perfectionist i recommend a fresh extensively cleaned surface to avoid hassle. The extra 2 stars were earned via the pricing of the product and the usability. It works as intended , fits absolutely perfect and is truly anti glare. It also has the most satisfying sound when using the Apple Pencil and while it doesn’t add functionality it adds to the appeal and aesthetic. It also really feels like paper when writing with your Apple Pencil, much more satisfying than using ur pencil directly on your screen, I’m no artist but just for note taking i prefer it over the stock experience and its only been 1 day, even touch feels a bit more solid than sliding directly on the glass.. Along with the fact i dont have to worry about scratching my screen i am so glad iCarez sent me another product WITHOUT REQUESTING to review. They not only showed they value me as a customer no matter how much i spend but that they believe in their products. I am truly happy with the product and the company right now.

Price/Performance is unparalleled!
I want to start off saying how much I like these screen protectors, the price performance metrics are off the charts! At $5 per, these are really cool. I placed on my iPad Pro back in 2022 when I got it. It has worked like a charm. But over the years, as expected it scratched a bit (better the protector than the glass). Last week, while on holiday I dropped the iPad in rocks and it really did a number on the screen protector. Which, again, is what it is all about. The iPad had ZERO damage, the screen protector not so much. I got a new one in today and went to replace it. When I lifted it off, mind you it's been on for almost 3 years, there was a glue film about 1.5" wide around the whole iPad (see the picture). I was not expecting this. I had to remove all of that glue prior to placing the new protector down. Not a big deal, but it wasn't expected. The only issue I have is that I have never had something like this happen before and I was more expecting this to stay via some static over glue. So I had to spend 10 minutes removing the glue (BTW, alcohol swabs and some elbow grease did the trick). So, this thing stayed solid for almost 3 years. The only reason for replacement was it did its job and took the damage from a drop onto a rough surface. It is super easy to install, including getting any bubbles out. I use a credit card and the cleaning rag and keep moving air to the sides prior to removing the upper film (number 2 film). Using the screen protector does dim the it a bit, but that is because I wanted the paper like matte film - so because I wanted this, I cannot fault a bit of dim-ness (BTW, this is no worse than the new nano-texture on the newer iPads). I still use this for watching movies on long-haul flights without an issue. All in all, I totally recommend this brand, I have been using it for my families phones and iPads for years.

Great product for a great price. The only screen protector you may ever need and use
I think Icarz 12.9 screen protector for the iPad Pro is the greatest thing since sliced bread microwave popcorn, and the Internet. I was skeptical of the price then it cost $9.99 for two screen protectors. I thought because of the price it would be a lesser grade product. But I was pleasantly surprised, and the screen protector surpassed all my expectations. Since I bought the eye cares screen protectors it is great it is easy to clean, has anti-glare so you can really see the images, and the screen protector has The feel and texture of paper. I am an artist and I am able to use my iPad in creating original pieces of art with that texture with the friction is allows me to use my eye pencil to its limits and beyond. I am legally blind and visually impaired. The material the texture and the feel of the Icarz Screen protector, I am able to feel the surface and use the Apps and software to the fullest. That being said there are some drawbacks, not in the quality, and function of the product., But because I’m blind it’s hard to apply the screen protector for a blind person there’s a lot of trial and error. I think there needs to be an audio file or audio description plus a redesign of the application tabs so that you can figure out how to line it up even if you can’t see the screen protector or the tabs, by creating textured tabs, and maybe ribs, or some kind of structural alignment guide, for people who are physically disabled, and blind. This will not only profit the people that are physically disabled and blind but it was a prophet other customers as well. By giving them a physical guide to install the screen protector cut out a lot of the guesswork. But on the whole you have a High quality, well-made, and extremely functional Screen protector for a very reasonable price that surpasses all expectations protects Your screen, from scratches, fingerprints, liquid, and all around use. The Icarz is a great product at a great price, and protects your device from scratch his fingerprints and all around where in tear. It is a great product at a great price. I give this product five stars Sincerely Kevin H

Decent product, deteriorates touch yet very good for the price.
[Updated] Extremely responsive seller. S/he was very much willing to solve the issue. Talking about the product, I really don't know how much rough it is, because I used the pen for about a month before getting this protector and the nib is used over time in such a way that the roughness varies a lot on the orientation and the angle of the pen I'm holding it with, on this protector. However, one thing I can confirm is my handwriting did improve after using this product because of the grip it provides while writing. I removed one star because I can clearly, literally clearly, see a change in responsiveness of the touch screen after using this. My swipes are a lot more misjudged as taps and it irritates me. Major issue. Unlike some people mentioned, I haven't seen any rainbow effects yet. Deterioration of display quality is obvious here but hey do you really have an option otherwise? Overall, you should have this if you're going to write a lot but at the same time, do not want a sandpaper like roughness. I'm not an artist but I think artists might like little more roughness. If you're not going to use the pen enough, I'd not recommend this. However, For this price, under 10 bucks, this is definitely a very good buy. Also, once again, they have a good customer support [Original] As soon as I opened the product I saw a huge bubble on the bottom left part of the screen protector (between the three layers). I immediately knew this is going to be a pain to solve. However as soon as I started to apply, things appeared to be not usual and I realized this wasn't just 1 screen protector, there were two, stuck together, probably to make up for the defective piece, I thought, but unfortunately both the protectors had the same issue at the exact same position so I'm not sure if this was created by mishandling of the delivery people. After I finished applying the protector, the bubble persists and is impossible to remove. Looks like there is no glue on that part at all. Anyways I tried to contact the seller before leaving a bad review but there isn't a way to do so directly from the orders screen. I understand mistakes may happen but I got to see how this seller responds to this. I'll leave a detailed review about the product later on. Attaching images of the defected product.

Phew! Installing it felt like an achievement. Easy, but you have to be meticulous.
Always an adventurous experience installing a screen protector. I definitely broke a sweat installing this. Mostly my own fault. I don't think the instructions were straightforward. I initially put it the wrong side down. I thought the #1 sticker had to face up. But after constantly wiping the iPad screen, and making sure there were no specks of dust, I proceeded, with caution. When I removed the first layer as instructed, I noticed the adhesive was on the outside surface, sticking to my fingers. That's when I knew I messed up. I was really mad at this point. At myself mostly. I wouldn't dare be stupid enough to take it out on the screen protector. I heaved a huge sigh. I knew I was at the point of no return. I realized I now had to do this the dreaded old school way. I took off all the guidance stickers, and held the bare film in my hands, staring at it, hoping it'd just install itself. I had aligned it with the stickers and the rubber bands before my blunder, so I remembered it's position. I eye-balled it and started at the bottom of the iPad. Aligning it, pushing the edges with the squeegee. I was in a warm, humid bathroom, as I had read humidity in there would settle the dust making it easier to install. A couple of specks showed up after every little spot I covered. Kept using the dust sticker to get rid of stubborn stray specks every now and then. I could feel the anticipation building up as I was getting closer to the top. I felt like I was at the peak of perseverance, patience, attention and effort. I was at the last and final inch. This was it. That feeling when you know you're about to make it without anybody's help. And done! I came out of the bathroom sweaty and shaky. I stared at it for a good minute, marveling at such a phenomenal installation, with none of the provided tools. I put the iPad away. I didn't want to deal with it anymore. At least for a while. I picked it back up later that night, and just stared and touched the screen for a few minutes. Nicely done, I said. This experience has changed me. I have one more in the pack, and so if there's ever a next time, I'm gonna do it with one hand, blindfolded. Installation is pretty easy. Clean the hell out of the screen. #1 sticker on the film faces the screen, #2 faces up, and follow the rest of the instructions. You'll be fine.

Pleasantly Surprised
I bought this matte screen protector for writing and drawing on my iPad pro (12.9). I am not a professional artist, I mainly just use it for taking some notes, annotating pdfs and the occasional sketch. I've had another matte screen protector prior to this, and it really wore the nub off the apple pencil down quickly. I switched for a short while to the tempered glass, which looked very nice, but couldn't get used to the jitter from the smooth surface. Compared to the matte protector I had previously, this one feels so...velvety. After putting it on, I couldn't stop touching it. It's so nice to write on, I actually did more drawing on it than before. I'm not sure if the screen protector itself is easier on the nib of the pencil or if I've just learned to watch my pressure when drawing, but I haven't noticed any significant wear after having it for maybe a month now (although I don't use it daily). On the other matte protector, there was a little scratchy noise kind of like writing on paper with a flat pencil. Not unpleasant, but it was definitely audible, especially if you were to color something in with the pencil. With this one, the sound is much more subtle. I like it a lot. Installation was pretty easy, and I managed to put a case back on my iPad without it lifting one of the corners of the screen protector (an issue I had previously). The instructions are pretty clear but if you've put one of these on before, it's essentially the same thing. Utilize the hinge stickers and really take your time cleaning the device screen and laying the film down to make sure there are no air bubbles. I got mine first try, but you do get two in case you do mess up.

Very happy with this purchase!
I've been using my iPad Pro (2021 11inch) with this screen protector for about a month now. It makes writing and drawing with the Apple Pencil feel very fluid and natural. Installation was simple, but it did take 2 tries for me to get it right. That may just be me being a perfectionist, though. The screen protector is slightly smaller than the iPad screen and I wanted to make sure it was centered as much as I could. The stickers to remove dust work perfectly. I have zero bubbles or dust trapped under the protector (and I live in a house with a long haired cat and German Shepherd who both are shedding like crazy right now). Not only does it make using the Apple Pencil feel more natural, it also does a great job of minimizing the amount of fingerprints on the screen. It doesn't keep all of them off, but they are barely visible and a quick swipe with a microfiber cloth (or your sleeve lol) will remove them completely. As far as anti-glare is concerned, I feel like this does a decent job. It dissipates the light that shines on it so that there aren't any blindingly bright spots, but there is still a tiny bit of a glare depending on the situation. I noticed the glare the most when I'm sitting on my couch which has a northern facing window behind it. I see the glare, and it makes dark shows slightly harder to watch, but I can still see everything on the screen. The glare with this screen protector is much more tolerable than it would be on the bare screen. Also, after watching a lot of reviews on matte screen protectors, I was very weary about the screen protector wearing down and having residual pencil marks left on it. I have done a lot of note taking and drawing this past month and have not seen even a hint of wear from Apple Pencil use. It looks just as good as the day I installed it. So, I'm very pleased with that. The image I shared is how it currently looks. I didn't even wipe it down first. I just picked it up and snapped the picture. All in all, I really enjoy this screen protector. It is definitely worth the money. It's probably one of the best matte screen protectors on the market. (Yes, even better than Paperlike)

Poor quality/missing installation materials and unsquared product **UPDATE**
**UPDATE** I changed my rating from one star to three after applying the second protector in the pack. I'm leaving that review intact below because I feel all my criticism is valid, but if the unit is actually cut squarely and you can manage to get it installed, it's a perfectly adequate product. A few tips for installation: 1: Do it in the bathroom after you've run the shower for a bit. The humidity of a post-shower bathroom takes the stray dust from the air and will save you a world of a frustration when it comes to removing that one dust mote that managed to get under the film in the ten seconds between thoroughly cleaning the screen and dropping the protector. 2: Take the hinging tape included in the package, carefully fold it in two, then again, and throw it away. The adhesive was too weak to hold the protector in position, as described in my original review below. Pretty much any other tape would have been better than what was included in the package. I frame pictures as a hobby and the archival hinging tape I use to secure photos and other works in place behind mat boards was much better suited than the awful decal things iCarez included. 3: After you position and hinge the protector but before you remove the peel and lower it into place, give both the screen and the underside of unpeeled protector another once over with the dust cloth. That thing is a dust magnet and even in the post-shower bathroom you could introduce that one annoying dust mote onto the screen if you get too eager to peel and lower. So, once I installed one with no bubbles, kinks, misalignments or unsquareness, it was actually a great screen protector. The matte texture reduced glare but didn't mute the screen colors or make it look grainy, and most importantly it didn't cause any issues with the Apple Pencil. It even felt more like paper and made my note-taking feel more natural. It was perfectly compatible with my Zugu case and was positions close enough to have nearly no gap yet not so close that the case would interfere with the protector. Full disclosure, my iPad was one of those rare lemons instead of an Apple and had to be exchanged, and despite my criticism I honestly couldn't find anything that I was reasonably sure would be better, so I ordered a second iCarez set of protectors. Barring another weird unsquared one and knowing what I know now about making installation easier, I'm confident that I'll be satisfied with the product when I get it installed on my new iPad. But seriously, iCarez, do something about the installation materials. I shouldn't have had to resort to professional archival picture framing materials to install a screen protector. **END UPDATE** **ORIGINAL REVIEW** The included tiny instruction pamphlet was somewhat difficult to read and not very clear. The installation video linked by the QR code showed rubber bands which were not included in my package. They may have made installation simpler, but I would have come to the same unacceptable conclusion that the screen protector itself wasn't square--lined up to the bottom and one of the sides, the other side of the screen protector was not parallel to the screen. The difference was very slight but I noticed it. I tried to finish the installation but the adhesive of the hinging stickers was very weak and they came loose as I was peeling off the bottom protective layer. At that point it was an exercise in frustration just applying the protector with any degree of accuracy. By the time it was somewhat in place and I had squeegeed most of the bubbles out (with the included microfiber cloth wrapped around my credit card, since the "squeeze card" mentioned in the installation video was also not included) there were still several bubbles on the sides of the screen. I thought they were due to dust or lint but no matter how many times I followed the instructions to fix that (lift with sticker, remove dust with sticker, etc.) some of them remained. It looked like the protector itself had some kind of flex in it. At that point I gave up and removed it altogether. I turned on the screen just to see if it was worth trying with the second one, but even that looked disappointing, so I didn't bother. This product has a lot of positive reviews so I may have just had bad luck with this one, but from my experience I would absolutely not recommend this product.

Excellent
It’s perfect for unit-fingerprint, reflection, and the pen and the touch response are amazing. Very high quality. The installation is very easy “watch YouTube video”. The only thing is the resolution will be a little bit degraded. But it’s totally acceptable.

Get this!
I do not write many reviews. But I got this delivered today. It took fairly long to get delivered. For someone like me who doesn’t have a great deal of experience installing screen protectors, I was surprised. It comes with such detailed instructions, hinge stickers (for accurate deployment), and peel stickers, together with clear instructions. My first attempt - remarkably perfect. Thanks to the complete installation kit, complete with alcohol wipes, micro-fibre cloth, surplus stickers, and clear instructions. Next, the quality is also really good. I was worried about the rainbow effect, or color noise that matte protectors generate. It’s here. But it’s not overwhelming. The overall feel is really pleasent, together with a slight friction for Apple Pencil. I am really glad I got this. I had developed hairline scratches on my iPad screen. One of these had become deep enough to create a stretch of rainbow effect along its path. It really saddened me. I am glad that all the hairline scratches, together with this deeper one have completed disappeared underneath the matte layer :). Overall, a great success! Thank you. Also - this screen protector is really a great deal. I think it’s not as great as Paperlike 2 (better than Paperlike probably). But this is what you get for much cheaper, with much better installation material, and a really good product. Would you like to get almost twice expensive Paperlike 2, while being unable to install it perfectly? I think not!

Awesome, worth it, but a tiny bit difficult to install
I really like this screen protector. I mostly use my tablet for note-taking and drawing, and I needed something that would take away the extreme glossiness of the screen without causing too much blurring or colour inaccuracy. This is definitely the right product for that. The protector is matte, but not at all rough, so I don’t foresee having to replace the pencil nib anytime soon, which was a major concern for me. Anti-glare is good, but I haven’t tried it in direct sunlight so I can’t say for sure. It’s not really an issue for me either way. Installation is probably the only thing I don’t appreciate about this product. It’s a little tricky to get it lined up and even harder to get the dust out from underneath if any is left behind. I messed up two corners just a tiny bit from having to lift the protector again to get dust out, only to find more underneath. Admittedly, it’s very dusty here, so it might not be as bad for someone else. Once the protector is on it really likes to stay where it is, even after a couple of lifts, and the bubbles were easy to push out. Overall, very happy with this purchase. And it came with two! So now I have an extra if I need it. Absolutely worth your money, especially if you’re looking for something with very mild texturing.
