Coleman 1-Mantle Kerosene Lantern

Every Coleman lamp I have owned up till now have been petrol.I new they made kerosene lamps in the past so finding this one on Amazon was great as I thought they where discontinued years ago.It works well being easy to start up but can need a bit of a learning curve if inexperienced.Only downside it did not come with a mantle seems a bit mean considering this lamp is not cheap.All in all delighted with purchase

Very poor build quality. Everything about this lantern is cheap. The made in China glass has cracked, it doesn't burn efficiently causing fumes and the claimed adjustable output doesn't work on the lantern I bought. It's either off or on. It requires frequent pumping and drinks kerosene. I have 70 year old European lamps that are easy to buy for about £50, get a service kit for less than £10 and it will still be good for another 70 years!

Bought one and was really pleased gave off a really bright light like a 5oo watt halogen bulb.so I purchased another and it was very poor with a yellow flame.got a refund and tried again.the flame was yellow and became smokey.would love a second one of good quality to make a matching pair in the garden.had no problem with the refunds excellent system.

As I have read in other posts. I awaited until lantern had arrived at a reasonable price then ordered. Once delivered opened box to find enamel chipped on hood & broken glass. Coleman please package item better especially if item for export.
