does this pot work on regular camping stoves?

Yes. My Boy Scout troop and I have used this on both the MSR Whisperlite backpacking stove and the classic Coleman propane stove. The pot worked fine and if anything I think it boiled the water faster than usual on the Coleman stove. The only issue with had was when the flames on the backpacking stove was a little high and blackened the handles on the side but that was more of an user error than a fault of the pot.

This is ridiculously expensive. Is there another Chinese pot that doubles as a storage for the genesis stove?

This is the only pot of this size associated with the Genesis unit.

I know half gen fits inside but will this pot fit inside case for halfgen?

No. This pot would be way too big. You should look at the 1.5 L pot. The 5 L is too big.

Un parfait complément a l'ensemble jetboil genesis

Acheté en combinaison de la poêle qui rentre dans le pack du genesis (attention il faudra changer la sacoche, vendu séparément, si vous avez uniquement le Genesis sans les accessoires comme c'était mon cas). Excellent qualité, cuisson rapide surtout pour faire chauffer l'eau par exemple. Le couvercle est également compatible avec la poêle (je parle de celle avec les poignées orange rétractable autour de la poêle). Très facile également a nettoyer.
