Producing Streaming Video for Multiple Screen Delivery

This book provides a very good medium to high level overview on streaming video concepts, For the person who wants to produce and then publish live and prerecorded video it provides expert guidance in how to process, what parameters work the best.It also provides guidance on a number of tools you can use. This section probably doesn't include many of the later tools but it is a good start and most of them are still in wide use.

I was assigned a Video Conversion and Compression project at work, and I began to look for a good source of information on the subject. I'm glad that I found this book, because it helped me to better understand how video compression works. Because of this book I'm able to create better software application providing better and faster video conversion and compression. I would like to mention that the book has poor images, but Jan informs you (on multiple occasions) that you can download PDF images for each chapter. I would definitely suggest this book to anyone interested in this subject.

If you're a professional video editor or even a video hobbyist, this book is a MUST HAVE! You can output the sharpest movie from your editing system, and yet if its not compressed properly, your beautiful work can end up looking horrible. This book will take you deep into the understanding of the how's and why's of everything compression related. Consider this the manual that SHOULD have come with your editing/compression software.

Extremely informative book about the streaming media industry. I am in the industry and this book has made so many things clear that I was never taught. Jan teaches you everything you need to know about encoding & streaming. Highly recommend this to any beginners/veterans of this up & coming industry!

I consider Jan Ozer an expert in the field of Streaming Video. If you work in the streaming media business you've got to read his books. You will become and even more valuable asset for the organization you work for.

Pretty awesome book, using it for college and its helped a lot. Everything is current and explains why and how to use certain features for online video streaming :)

Beware of the Kindle edition! It is not in the kindle format, it is something like a pdf which you can only zoom as a whole, it is always in landscape mode and most importantly, it is terribly formatted, the letters are overlapping everywhere, it is virtually unreadable.

Do not bye this on Kindle it is unreadable literally the text is very small and you cant't adjust it.

There are several interesting things to know. It helps you to understand the world of digital contents as it is nowadays. It is up to date and many interesting comparations and diagrams. Links to a lot of related information. Only negative thing is there are many redundant things and it is very difficult to remember anything with so much massive information. Any is a good book for consulting if you are involved in any job or studies on the matter.
