Well made and should last.
This things has some heft. It weighs the same (16 oz) as a regular claw hammer. I mostly use it to bang on things that I don't want to mar, to pound on wood chisels, and will use it in leather craft. Bonus: I got a great deal on it in Amazon's Warehouse.

Hammers stuff.
All around great hammer. Used for the correct application it works very well. I have not managed to damage the soft surfaces as of yet.

Buy you 2 of them
When you build cabinets for a living you can't use a normal hammer so this thing is great. I have 2 because I can never remember when I laid it down at so I just place them randomly throughout the shop so I can always find one. Haha

Non replaceable face
Nice and sturdy but only got a few months before the head split. AND unlike other mallets of this type the face isn't replaceable

Cheap faces
The hammer is solid, but the two faces on this hammer are really cheap! They cracked and split in pieces. Now I have to find replacements if I can....
