Stool Eating Deterrent with Yucca Schidigera Extract for Dogs

This is the second product we use trying to stop our dogs from eating their poop. It did not help at all. Our Aussies enjoyed the flavor and scent of this product even after it came from the other side :-) Waste of time and money. I am happy to hear that it worked with some dogs, lucky owners...

My vet warmed me that even the prescription version of this sort of thing is hit and miss. For my German Shepherd, it was 100% miss. When you first break these (I bought two different brands with the same results), they smell as if you just cleaned your aquarium and dried all your algae. So I broke in the dosage I was supposed to in my dog's food, dutifully waiting day after day and exactly waiting for the week to pass ("some dogs may require a week before you see results" is what the packing insinuates); and after a full week, absolutely nothing. Off they went into the garden for the rats to devour (my dog left them all alone after I tossed them in the backyard)...the rats didn't. I not sure if rats eat their poop but after finishing this bottle, perhaps not.

This produce works for my dog.

We have 2 small elderly dogs. We give them 1/2 a tablet each day. It has deterred the problem I would say 60%. I like this product because its natural and doesn’t upset their stomach.

These “Chewable” tablets are Extremely hard. I have a 9 month old Beagle/Dachshund & Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix female. Directions said to give my her 1 and half twice a day. (30lbs) I had to use a butcher knife to split one tablet. Then after cutting, my dog wouldn’t eat them. Wish I had never bought them.

I never give product reviews but this really works. First of all, read the instructions. 1 tablet for 20 pounds. My dogs are small so 1 tablet cut in half and gave 1 half to each dog the first day. I gave another half to each dog the next day and just like magic, the poop eater stopped! He stopped smelling the other dogs butt, stopped eating the poop and now I just have normal dogs. It only took 2 days for me. Give it a try!

These tablets looked like the best bet for my stool eating pup, but didn't work with her. However in all fairness after a couple of weeks I had to leave her on vacation and she wasn't given the tablets. I will try them again and see if they work. I am not upset or particularly disappointed as I knew going in these products work only about 30% -50% of the time. Even the best can't be guaranteed. It all depends on why your pup is eating stools.
