Audio-Technica ATR2USB 3.5mm to USB Audio Adapter

I have used this thing for a month now and have no issues. I have a laptop with combined mic+headphones jack and was receivinga lot of complains about noise on my mic when doing VoIP calls with my Beyerdynamic MMX 101 iENow I can do conference calls/Skype call with my Sennheiser PC 151 Headset, which has separate mic / headphone plugs. The noise issue produced by the sound card is gone as expected and my voice is loud and clear, as I did some basic tests for comparison.One thing I noticed here is most people complaining about the mic, remember that this little box is just a Digital-To-Analog for sound going to your ears and Analog-To-Digital, from your mic. So if you have a low-quality mic, don't expect miracles from this box. As I said, the main advantage for me is to avoid the noise generated by my sound card.

This is a handy device. I bought it as an inexpensive replacement for my computer's built in sound card. Now, I'm mostly using it (along with some audio adapters) to connect professional microphones to my Pixel phone. The audio recording quality is greatly enhanced. I use a USB-A to USB-C adapter to fit the phone and a 1/8" to XLR adapter to connect to the microphone.

I bought this to fix a broken headphone jack on my laptop - instead of fixing the jack itself and then risking breakage - I went with the USB portThe USB is much more stable (more soldered foot holds) and therefore is much less likely to snap like the headphone jack did.The dongle installed in seconds and was ready to use - now my jack can rest in the module at the end of a cord - removing all serious risks.now my laptop has the jack moved to the other side it freed up my cords to be in the same vicinity as the power connect - so everything was streamlined and the jack was repaired - no more highlighter or pen resting under the headphone jack!

Got it yesterday to replace the input and output on the cheap sound card in my computer. I plugged it in and it auto installed the drivers on windows 10. I had to set it as the default communication device though. I talked to some of my friends using it and they said that my voice sounded better than before. It has a nice volume control that directly changes the volume in windows. It feels and looks high quality, but it also makes me feel like it would break if I dropped it on a hard floor. It looks better than what I thought it would look like based off of the picture. It did what I was hoping it would do.

This is really more than just an adapter, as it's also one of the cheapest headphone amp/dac on the market. It probably won't give near the performance of something like the Audioquest Dragonfly, but you can't beat the price. The sound is surprisingly good-- certainly better than my laptop's soundcard. I originally purchased this because my HP laptop has a combo input instead of a dedicated headphone input, and Windows 10 didn't register my measurement microphone correctly, but this has turned out to be something so much more, as it also allows me to use my Sennheiser HD595 and Audio-Technica ATH-M50s with my laptop in higher fidelity. This item really can't be beat for the asking price.

I purchased this to replace a Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter, C-Media Chipset, RoHS, which did not work on two of my Mac computers. When used on a Mac Miny 2.3 GHz Intel Core I5 OS X 10.9.5 and selected for output the audio was intermittent. When used for audio output from Quicktime the device caused playback to stop (video and audio) intermittently. On a different Mac the problem was almost eliminated (MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OS X 10.8.5). I ended up replacing the device with this Audio-Technia ATR2USB which works properly on all my computers.

I've had this product for about a year now and I am not a huge fan of it after all this time. It definitely works and does it's job, but it is built very poorly and flimsy. I had issues with my headphones very easily coming unplugged at very light accidental tugs. The USB end also did not fit into my port properly. I have no other issues with any other devices being loose in my ports, so it's definitely the device itself. Slight movements of my laptop would cause it to disconnect momentarily, often causing programs to become confused or crash when the audio so suddenly switched from headphones to speakers and back to headphones. There was also a single instance where a bump caused my computer to blue screen because of some weird driver issue or something.If you just want a cheap solution in the short term, this product will definitely do. But for the long term, your probably better off getting a different better made adapter.

Simple, inexpensive. Shipped quickly and worked as it should. My daughter uses it more that I do with the headset. The audio jacks on the Motherboard got trashed from poor use by the kids, so this was a inexpensive fix. The first we purchased, not mentioning model and brand, worked well also, but did not have the dongle cable and also fell to tugging abuse; to ridged. This unit flexes and will hopefully last much longer.

I have used other USB sound adapters and this one stands above the rest for sound quality. Maybe it's just newer technology than the last adapter I had but this has much better sound, rivaling or even surpassing on-board quality. My onboard sound died and I had to disable it completely, but my case/motherboard has no room for a full sound card, so I used one of the 12 USB ports for this. I particularly like that there are no drivers needed (Windows 7 x64) and the connector isn't bulky. I won't drop it a star for this, but the volume adjuster is more of a rocker switch than a traditional volume "wheel". Mic port works well also, with a standard mic I've had for 10 years.

Excelente tarjeta de audio externa por USB. Compre este dispositivo para mi trabajo, ya que las headsets que nos dan son de muy mala calidad. Yo que tengo problemas de audición, la tarjeta da muy buena ganancia sin distorsionar el audio. Adicional la claridad es sorprendente. Tiene la salida para tus auriculares y otra separada para el micrófono. Incluye un botón para activar/silenciar el micrófono.

I was hoping, by buying an Audio-Technica brand product, that the sound quality would be quite good. I cannot speak for the output, but I have been using the microphone input, and even though it is not bad, it is still quite noisy. More akin to a computer's built-in microphone input than and microphone preamp you would buy from Audio-Technica.Also, the microphone plug-in power was not strong enough for my lapel microphones, I am not sure where the mismatch is.Still, it is recognized fast, is reliable, and the latency is not bad. The construction quality is cheap plastic, but so far so good.I have been using it on a weekly basis for a few months now.

La utilizo con Mac; únicamente para revisar la edición de mis pistas en Reaper. Es super pequeña y portable excelente opción para no tener que llevar la interfase contigo. Si la vas a utilizar como yo unicamente para monitoreo de una pista previamente editada y masterizada, vas a quedar mas que sorprendido.

Superou minhas espectativas, comprei essa placa de áudio USB para fazer lives na igreja. Fácil o manuseio e conexão, sem muito segredo.Qualidade do som ótima e a marca em si já fala tudo Audio-Technica está de parabéns por esse produto.Não se compara a uma interface de áudio, mas ela supre a minha necessidade.
