Pyle Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Stereo Box Marine Grade, Waterproof or Splash Proof & Rugged Sound Box with NFC Pairing and AUX Input for iPhone, Car System, Macbook & Headphones (PWPBTN65BK)

I bought this for my recumbent bicycle. I planned on sewing a pocket for it in the back of the seat. The weather resistance is why I chose this model.I have not made the change to my bike yet so I have just been carrying it around and using it while I work.Last night I was changing the belt on my tractor and set it and my phone on a stump and set to work. At some point I picked up my phone and used it to look up something on the internet and then dropped it in my pocket. When it got to dark to work anymore I went inside completely forgetting my speaker. I woke up at midnight to the sound of rain pouring down and thunder shaking the house. I did not even think about the speaker. In the morning as my sister was leaving with the kids for school I remembered it right then. I was currently raining. I threw on some shoes and ran out and grabbed it off the same stump. I slung the loose water off of it and took it inside. It powered up with no problem and synced immediately with my phone a room away. It still sounds great! The sound quality is real nice, it is loud enough for me and the battery lasts a long time. I have not had it run out yet. I just throw it on the charger each morning after I take my phone off charge then pick it up off the charger after work. While I would not advocate leaving your electronics out in the rain, I would definitely recommend this speaker.Edit 12/26/2021: I still am very happy with this speaker and use it all the time still.

I haven't had this long, but it works like a dream so far. It's nicely loud and the sound is good, and it was very easy to set up with my tablet. The green is less lime like in the picture and more army green, which I was a bit disappointed with, but it isn't a big deal. The sounds box feels heavy and all the buttons and ports have rubber covers on them, so it appears water resistant, although I haven't tried that out yet and I hope never to need to. It came with a USB charging cord and an AUX jack cable so you can hook it up to mp3 players and other music devices that don't have bluetooth through the headphone jack. This is a nice feature, since I still mostly use a separate mp3 player to listen to music rather than my phone, and it is nice not to have to use headphones. I plan on using this in the kitchen when cooking, baking or washing dishes to either listen to music through my mp3 player or TV shows and TED-type lectures through my tablet. I've used this a little for this purpose, and so far, it is great! There is maybe 1/3 to 1/2 second sound delay behind the video when I'm watching videos, but for what I'm doing, it's just fine. I can watch a few seconds of a show without the delay being a problem, and the way I'm using this, that's all I need. It might get annoying if I was trying to watch a movie or something. For music, it would be completely unnoticeable.

After reading the reviews and seeing a 40% discount, I thought I'd give this a try for relaxing on the deck and fishing. Though I liked the idea of a durable speaker for outdoor use, the speaker lacks sound quality, most notably bass, so I returned it.

Pyle makes a fantastic speaker, for a very fair price. I have ordered three of the same, or very similar products over the years, and tried several other company's products in between purchases of this Pyle, and I always return the other ones. I work in a UPS truck for 9 to 11 hours a day, and the batter never dies before the end of my shift. It's loud enough to hear over my engine and it's small enough to fit into my cooler. I will only say my only complaint is the charging port will fail at about year 2.5, as it always does. It gets loose, and won't accept the charging cord eventually. But, it's cheap enough to replace without really getting upset about it.

First, read carefully about the size dimensions. This turned out to be considerably bigger and heavier than I thought it would be, thus making it unsuited for the backpacking speaker I had intended it for. Second, the volume controls are in my opinion poorly designed and cumbersome to navigate. Third, speaking of volume, this just didn't have much. Maybe the sound was fuller, but the power certainly wasn't there. I get more speaker output from my Galaxy S5 active. All in all, the product didn't suit what I needed it for which was a rugged water resistant speaker I could take backpacking. It was too big and heavy with not enough power to warrant the weight. Returned.

While the sound quality of this speaker is quite high, the volume is not. This product works well for small rooms but is too quiet and lacking in strong bass tones for larger rooms or outdoors. The battery holds a charge well and the casing seems robust. I use this speaker frequently but, as someone who enjoys loud music, I probably would not purchase it again.

I really like this speaker a lot. It's easy to use and I got it pretty cheap. I have one draw back on this item as it doesn't get extremely loud for when you are outside in a loud area and aren't next to the speaker. Don't get me wrong, this gets loud and is a quality product. If you compare it to some other portable splash proof speakers, I'd take this one as it was cheaper than most without losing quality in the product for the most part.

Love this speaker, use it daily. Two of my sons have the same speaker and they love them as well. My wife and other son have a slightly different model, a little lighter and cheaper but not quite as much bass, but they both love them too. This is my second one, the first one had problems with charging port after almost two years, so I had to replace it with this one. Excellent sound for the size and will easily play for 6-8 hours without a charge. IP rating indicates that it is splash proof, but not water proof, I would not submerge mine in water. Love the clip on the top, can hang just about anywhere. Great by the pool, at the beach, campfire, patio, I take mine everywhere! Good product!
