Excellent product but nozzle clogs
Much prefer this to kiln wash. Glass releases easily. The only drawbacks is that no matter how thoroughly I clean the nozzle, it is always clogged when I go to use it again.

WORKS GREAT FOR REMOVING GLASS FROM MOLDS!
I had been using kiln wash on my ceramic molds when casting glass. It would stick to the glass after firing and had to be sanded off after about four firings and then reapplied. Alot of times the glass would break when trying to get it out of the mold. This stuff is like discovering a miracle! Easy to apply, dries fast and the pieces simply fall out of the mold after firing. The one drawback is having to clean the sprayer nozzle after using. The first time I used it, I decided to skip the cleaning-that was a MISTAKE! Always clean sprayer or apply with a brush. I will be purchasing it again when needed.

This works great and more cost effective than aerosol
Works great! More economical than aerosol spray.

works good, but not a good value, and may contaminate the mold for other water based coatings.
I used up my bottle of zyp too fast, it is premixed, so there is not much in the bottle, mostly water and a couple tablespoons of wash powder. Primo Primer is better, just buy a sprayer that can handle it properly, and it is better than zyp for most applications. I like the ZYP, but it has to be reapplied every firing, and costs $10 to $20 per mold, so it becomes as expensive as your glass supplies for some projects. I've seen this complaint, that once you use zyp on a mold, it can never be completely removed. I did not believe this at first, but on a brand new mold I used primo the first firing, everything was normal. The second firing I decided to try zyp, and while it worked, a lot of zyp had to be ground out of the glass surface. The third firing I tried to go back to primo, but the mold resists the primo, as if there was wax on the mold. The places the mold resists are the same places the zyp bound to the glass. After another firing I reapplied primo, and I still see the resist pattern. I don't know what kind of lubricant it in the zyp that might survive firing, but it is a slump mold, so it is only fired to 1250 typically... I don't know that I can successfully burn it off.

Perfect!
Worked better than expected! I had vertical metal posts in a ceramic base for casting jewelry and it worked beautifully.

spray bottle clogs
I bought the manual sprayer rather than aerosol: big mistake. I shook the bottle quite a lot. Nonetheless, the sprayer clogged on my FIRST spray. Took a while to clean out, and I ended up using a brush.

New Favorite Product
Was pleasantly surprised at how well this product applies compared to the aerosol or similar brush on products. I use it to coat glass molds for fusing. Only takes a couple applications and coats evenly compared to the aerosol version. Despite being an ounce less than the aerosol, you get so much more product this way without the overspray waste. Much better for getting into small areas too.

Great for fusing glass
I use it with a brush! After shaking it really well to release all 'sediments' to float as suspension. I heat up the glazed ceramic objects I use as molds, then brush it on thinly. If the ceramic is really hot - it clings to it immediately. Do not go over it second time as it will take off the first layer. It lasts for many many uses. I am very happy with it.

Spray Nozzle fails!!!
I followed the directions on the label. I was exact, meticulous and fully followed instructions. The nozzle clogged in 5 seconds. I cleared it with hot water and shaking to remove the sedimentary powder. After that, it sprayed water nicely and was useful on both mist and stream settings. I once again followed the label directions and once again the pump nozzle clogged within 5 seconds. I repeated the process a third time, with the same results. Total dud of a delivery system for what is otherwise a good product. I will have to brush this on my molds, wasting an enormous amount of boron nitride for the area I need to cover. This should be a small pressurized container with a check valve, to ensure that the spray is ejected and no residual particulates can clog the spray nozzle.

Prefer aerosol. Wonโt buy again
Donโt like this form of Zyp. Prefer the aerosol type. Small tube plugs easily and needs to be cleaned after every use.
