Taylor Precision Products Hanging Scale (70-Pound/32-Kilogram)

The storage platform hanging from my garage ceiling has a weight limit, so I keep this Taylor scale right there to weigh anything I add to the platform. The scale is easy to use and evidently accurate. To check the accuracy, I hung an item of known weight from it and found the scale was on the mark. With no digital readout and no batteries to change (or leak), this scale represents a vintage technology that remains, I believe, as useful as ever.

This is well made and sturdy enough to suit my purposes, which was weighing 20lb propane tanks before going out on camping trips. Maybe other people need pinpoint accuracy for mixing thermonuclear materials or something, but for the price I paid for it and the purpose I'm using it, it does the trick.

I use this to weigh out hay for a couple of our therapeutic riding center's horses, who have become, how shall I say, FAT. It was easy to tare in order to account for the hay bag's weight. I tested it with a couple of objects for which the weight is known, and it was accurate.

Returned a digital scale and bought this simple one. I won’t say it’s totally accurate to the ounce like a digital one but all I’m doing is weighing hay portions for my mini horses and this is perfect for lbs and 1/2 lbs. It’s simple to use and sturdy.
