Great value, full function & quiet!
I was looking for my first watch winder and was surprised at the cost of most units with their fancy woodwork & designs. I was looking for something more basic & practical to simply keep my watches wound and ready to go at any time. This Versa unit seemed to suit my needs. Now that I've been using the unit for a couple of weeks, I am very pleased with the purchase. This winder has several options for keeping your watches wound with 4 settings for turns per day as well as 3 for spin direction, clockwise, counterclockwise & both directions. Some reviews indicated that their unit doesn't spin all the time, that's because it's not supposed to. It spins for set durations during the day in the direction you set for the turns per day you set. Turning constantly would overwind your timepiece. This unit fit my needs perfectly and is very quiet especially with the door closed. I like the look as well as the black color looks contemporary and matches my decor. I'm very pleased with this purchase and will be buying another since it's already full with 4 timepieces. Great value relative to most other winders I see in the market.

Best winder for the money
I have quite a number of Versa winders, from their single watch (6), to their dual watch (2), and quad (2) winders. The oldest one I have is 6 years old and it still runs like a champ This is my 2nd quad winder. You can't beat the price compared to the high end luxury winders, and they work very well. You can select turns-per-day and direction of turns (CW, CCW, Both). On the multi-watch winders, each watch has it's own setting, too. They are also very quiet. I have them next to my bed and on my headboard. I never hear them at night. The winder is programmed to rotate a certain number of times, then it stops. It repeat this brief winding cycle throughout the day for the set number of turns. This saves overwinding the watch and avoids putting too much stress on the winding mechanism inside the watch. I have never had any of these winders damage my watches. I rely on these winders because I have watches that are difficult to set (perpetual calendar). I don't want those to ever wind-down and I know I'll forget it if I was to do it myself.

Love this Winder
Got this a couple months ago because I needed a winder that would hold watches in the vertical position while winding. It's super-quiet and works very well. The controls let you fully customize how long each individual winder will rotate, and you can also set it to move each individual winder in alternate directions. The body of the winder is hard black plastic, and I was concerned that it would look like a piece of junk on my dresser. It actually looks really nice with the watches spinning away inside the door. Very modern looking. Right now I'm really happy with this winder, but I know that the real test is how long it will last and how long it takes for it to start getting noisy (they all seem to get loud after a period of time.) I took a star off because the 4 individual watch holders don't have any padding. Easy enough to fix, but it would have been a nice thing to include. For the price, this one is hard to beat.

very nice winder at a great price
the unit is very quiet. I put watches in it with 4 different automatic movements, set them according to what I found on the internet as far as rotation direction and TPD and a week later they are all right on! I also like that you can replace the motors should one go bad which happened on my previous winder. Also there is one watch per motor, not 2 on one motor. The biggest watch i have in there is a 47mm but there is plenty of room. a very nice unit so far, and very reasonably priced.

Broken in 7 months!!!
I bought this winder in April 2017. By Nov 2017, it was broken. The compartments all spin, and look like they are working. But, the watches do not stay wound. I have 4 automatic watches. A Tudor, Tag Heuer, Oris, and a fake Rulux. I've been keeping a very detailed spreadsheet to see how much time each watch loses/gains per day. By keeping this spreadsheet, I discovered the winder does not work. I have it on the highest setting for each compartment. It keeps the watches wound for a few days, and then, 1 of the 4 watches will end up being several hours behind. It is NOT the watches, because I have been keeping track of which watch is in which winder. I ran the test 5 times. Each time, moving the watches to different positions. Each time, a different watch was the one to be off a day, and the position of the "bad" winder was different each time. When it does work, it is quiet. I bought the wooden quad one on here for the same price and at the same time as this one to compare them. This Versa Quad one is defiantly quieter than that wooden one. But, that wooden one keeps my watches going. This one does not. *Edit: After reading some of the other 1 star reviews, I'm actually thinking mine did not actually "break", but rather never kept the watches wound even when new. All 4 of the winders look to spin properly. When I bought it, I put my watches in, and was going to check them in a week without touching them. Life got in the way, and I forgot all about them until 5 months later. When I looked at them then, they were all over the map in kept time. But, I figured it had been so long, that I probably unplugged it for a while or something like that. That is when I began my careful measurements and found it does not keep the watches wound. So in summary, I now believe it works as designed, but does not have the ability to keep quality swiss watches always wound after about one week.

Versa Quad Winder offers attractive pricing and features but......
This product's price and features (4 watch capacity with independently adjustable rotation) are attractive. Its reliability and warranty service, based on my personal experience with two of these Versa Winders, may be challenging. I had noisy motors in both winders. One of the winders progressed to the point of not consistently rotating 2 of my 4 watches. If a motor becomes noisy within the Amazon 30-day refund period, return it immediately as later on you are left only with the Versa warranty to fall back on. The Versa warranty is one year, will be honored by sellers but is not without customer cost (shipping in my malfunctioning winder for repair cost me $27), time (repair cycle is estimated at 10-15 workdays), but may possibly be avoided by requesting the Versa seller send you a motor repair kit at no charge. I failed at installing the new motor kit the first time but armed with that poor experience I think I could do it now. If you need a motor repair kit, insist that the Versa seller send you the motor repair kit with detailed directions. The motor repair kit is likely not too complex for a serious DYIer with electrical experience, but for the rest of us - insist on written directions to help you on the kit installation. If the repair kit is problematic, you may need to send it into the seller for repair.

Practical, cost effective & sleek watch winder.
It’s a practical winder, offers high value for money and it’s a great buy when your have a large collection of mechanical watches. I have a previous experience with Versa watch winders with a 2-watches winder & I needed this quad-watch winder as my collection got larger. There are minor issues that won’t be much of a problem when you’re looking for a reliable winder at low cost. This one has a hissing sound when it’s new but it will get a little bit louder by time. Also it’s all in plastic and it will never like a Wolf winder or anything premium. All in all, at this price point, this’s definitely one of the best options you can go for on Amazon.

A good winder for the price....when it works.
I received this watch winder with Prime shipping and it was indeed in brand new condition. Setting the winder up was pretty straightforward and had 4 of my nicer timepieces twirling away in no time. It runs pretty quiet when the front door is closed. If its open - you can hear the mechanical whir of the motor for sure. The winder accommodates a pretty wide range of sizes and includes attachments and pads to adapt to any size or shape of watch. I have a 47mm chronograph which is about as big as it gets and it handles it no problem. That being said the inserts are very cheap plastic and definitely seem like they will break with extended use. The options for rotation and Turns Per Day is nice, the winder will turn a few times then stop, then turn again, and stop - which it does by design. Unlike my wolf winder which will turn 300 times, rest for a bit then turn another 300 times. You can easily mistake this for being broken - but the manual says its how it prevents over winding the watch. I eventually noticed that one of my watches had stopped ticking and after messing with the watch winder found that after 2 days of use one of the winders went bad. it just didn't turn at all, so back it goes and another one is on the way. The winder is cheap - no question, you don't expect much for a quad winder at this price point - but to breakdown so quickly is pretty ridiculous. So this gets 2 stars for now - and I'll update after my replacement arrives.
