These do not clamp Down with some Reel to Reel Decks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but you don't really need them to clamp to play but that' s up to you. Otherwise go buy our metal reels .NEW NAB Plastic Take Up for 1/4" Reel to Reel Tape 10.5" . This is a hard plastic reel used to store play or record with 1/4" reel to reel tape. Please note that the center hub of these plastic reels are thicker than your standard metal reel. They may not click when you clamp them down with your NAB lock down hubs but they should still hold the reel in place. I just wanted to let you know that I have a Teac X-2000R and X-1000R and so far, they seem to work very well. The trick is however, if your deck is using the TZ-612 Nab adapters, there is a metal clip on the bottom of these adapters. You can remove that clip and this will allow the plastic reel to lock flush on the adapter. I've tried it on both of my Teac decks and I've had no problems so far......Just thought I would pass that on to you and I look forward to purchasing more from you in the future....Thanks,

Low cost and functional 10" take up reel.
The reel worked perfectly on my Otari machine with NAB adapters. It's the lowest cost option available and the Royal Blue color is quite nice.
