PPE Performance Transmission Cooler for 2003 2004 2005 CHEVY GMC LB7/LLY & LBZ/LMM 124060300

Bought for a 2005 Silverado 3500 Dually with a Duramax/Allison. Truck transmission ran hot when towing heavy (truck and trailer pushing 24.5k combined). Tranny would sometimes get over 200 degrees which is past my comfort zone. While I haven't tested in extreme heat yet, it appears to have dropped trans temp 20 degrees when towing. This cooler is much thicker, has more surface area, and is much heavier than the stock one. Installation is a plug and play and will take less than an hour to install. Uses factory hard line connections.

Fast delivery. Easy install, direct hook up to my 2005 Silverado 2500HD. Everything that I needed was included. This is a must for the older Duramax pickups. Dropped my transmission temps by 25 degrees. A very well built cooler and direct mount up like oem. There was no modification required. Took less that an hour to completely install. I definitely recommend.

The stock one looked like it belonged on a prius, this is a great upgrade for a lifted duramax truck running oversized tires, after install you need to add about half a quart of atf to refill the new cooler, the temperature was 92 degrees and i never got over 170 and i would usually be around 200 with 35s and a 6 inch lift. engine runs about 5 degrees hotter which isnt a bad thing for a diesel, helps with a more complete combustion. Took about an hour to install well worth the money if you have a LLY Duramax

This was worth buying my 2005 Chevy Silverado duramax temperatures were running hot at 250 to 260 F without pulling a trailer. Bought this new transmission cooler installed it and pulled my 20 ft trailer full of furniture and my temps never got above 160 F.

This cooler was a cinch to install in my 2004 Silverado 2500HD, 8.1 gasser, with Allison 1000 transmission. It bolted right up in the factory location.After install, I saw an immediate drop in operating temperatures of at least 30 degrees. When the transmission does heat up under load, albeit ever so slightly, the temp comes right back down.This is a wonderful replacement for the underengineered, and undersized stock transmission cooler used by GM. Worth every penny I paid for it.My only complaint.......I should've installed one sooner.

Adding this cooler is an expensive thing just for what it looks like, but!, Lowering the trans oil temp is a must if you pull a load.. mine dropped about 20 degrees no load and pulling load it is still lower then it used to be , probably about 15 degrees.. still every little bit helps.

Have not installed it yet but it seems to be a well built transmission cooler.I installed this cooler on my lb7 duramax and it reduced my transmission temperature while towing my 37 ft bighorn fifthwheel by 25 to 30 degrees

Kit was easy to adapt to OEM transmission cooler. Includes brackets and bolts. Also adapted to performance transmission cooler lines. At least a third bigger than original.
