Great value for a great product
The waffles from this machine are amazing. They don't stick. The size is perfect. Cleaning it is so easy. I don't have to spray it first and it was a good value. I love this waffle maker.

A great waffle maker
After doing much research on non-stick coatings, I settled on a waffle maker with a ceramic surface. I have birds, and non-stick coatings can give off fumes that are deadly to birds. However, having never had an appliance with a ceramic coating, I couldn't judge the fairness of the negative reviews and that made me hesitant to order. In the end, I decided to just go for it, trusting that with my years of cooking and baking I could probably make this work. Turns out, I needn't have worried. This is a great waffle maker.I purposely waited until I'd used this appliance a number of times, so I could write an informed review. First, the ceramic coating is fantastic. After many batches of crispy, brown waffles, I've never had one stick. Cleanup is a breeze.Second, there's no need to eliminate oil in your recipe or do anything special with preparing the grids. My waffle recipe uses a half cup of vegetable oil and it works just fine. I preheat the waffle maker while I'm mixing the batter. Once itโs hot, I brush the grids with a very small amount of oil - and I do mean small. I just dab the brush in the oil. If you have oil running down the grids as you brush them, you're using too much. (Note #1: I rarely have to re-oil the grids after the first time. Note #2: I don't use cooking spray, it damages non-stick finishes).Third, I use the waffle maker on the #3 setting to ensure it gets hot enough to crisp the waffle. I spoon about 3/4 cup of batter onto the hot grids, close the waffle maker and flip it. Wait until most of the steam stops coming out (the green ready light usually comes on about then), then flip it back and open it. The waffles are always nicely browned and crispy.Lastly, Iโm careful about maintaining the appliance. When I'm finished, I never put the grids in the dishwasher. Dishwasher detergent is very harsh. It takes only a couple of minutes to wash the grids by hand with soapy water, dry them, and put them back in the waffle maker. Mine still look and work like new. I hope this helps anyone who might be on the fence about whether or not to take a chance on this appliance.

I got it for me..
Firstly, i got a return item saved cash, only damage was the original box ... No problem. So! How does it work? Awesome! Nothing sticks to Porcelain plates! I mean nothing yet! Lol! But the food is way better tasting and more fun than work, clean up is easier than ever, because they are removable plates! So as all Waffle lovers know, we end up working more than eating time with family! This isn't about that, its faster, non stick with just oil in batters, and every kind i have used cook great and you can taste just Waffle not burned oils. So it's a item that can be placed on the table so as each comes out you can hand them... Plus be with everyone not in kitchen, trying too control everything that is not working properly! The temperature control is grea5, although its about how long you leave them more then not! Ready lights on both sides means your in control.. So if you wanna get way from Teflon coating problems like they don't work and health problems, this is the way of the future! I'm making them every few days now, not months! Yummy food moment!

Easy Pleasy, Easy to enjoy.
This cooks really well, but it has no real temperature control. So if you are trying to fully cook a waffle to golden brown crisp before it burns you maybe out of luck. I cook for 2:30 minutes or so at most with this. I use a homemade recipe that is very good, better than restaurants or mixes or store bought--super soft buttery fluffy. But I can not cook it like most waffle makers to a golden crisp. It always looks white/yellow/golden splotchy or it burns. Easy to clean. Easy to setup and use. It really is Easy Pleasy.

Easy to Clean, great waffles
I am very happy with the baking and the ease of clean-up. We make belgium waffles with pecans at least once a week and the removable plates make this tremendously nicer. Being able to wash with soapy water and rinse the plates under the faucet gets out all the residual pecan bits easily. I would spend 15 minutes or more trying to clean my other waffle maker that did not have the removable plates. It was very frustrating and I never felt it was as clean as it should be.I was careful to follow the suggestions for first time usage. I only hand wash the plates, never the dishwasher. At the start of each waffle baking session I brush on a little vegetable oil. I set my waffle maker at nearly the hottest setting and also run a timer at five minutes as a backup. My waffles have been excellent. I use the Krustez Pancake Mix (1 1/2 cups) with 1 cup water and 1/4 cup corn oil and 1 teaspoon vanilla. This fills the waffle maker twice with a little bit extra. I personally like this formula more than the Krustez Belgium waffle mix. And I only have to keep one mix on hand since we also makes pancakes lots, too.The waffle maker appears to be well made and sturdy (better than my previous brands). The waffle grid is nice and deep, like a belgium waffle should be. (I've had belgium waffle makers that were no deeper than a regular waffle). I've been using this about a month now, so I cannot speak to whether it holds up well over time yet. I seldom write reviews, but this has been a particularly good change from my previous waffle makers.

Great waffle maker!!!
I have had my waffle maker for about a month and I love it. Easy to use though you may get a little side spillage but thatโs what the tray is for. The waffle is thick and perfect to my liking. Itโs so thick I often share it with my teenage daughter but she could actually eat a whole one by herself โบ๏ธ. Though it may light up green indicating itโs ready I like mine a bit more golden brown but thatโs my preference. Be careful and not touch anything but the handle it heats up and will burn you. After it has cooled off I like to release the plates and rinse them and the tray off. Storage isnโt bad.

Easy to use
Works like a charm. The non stick surface is still perfect after 3 months of use. The plates are removable and dishwasher safe, but the are super easy to clean by hand with a wet paper towel.

Downgrade-Review 2,500 really not necessary - Updated
Here's an update to go with the pic of stuck-on waffle----After three or four weeks of constant use, I finally took off the plates and put them in the dishwasher. Upon taking them out of the dishwasher, I stuck them in the waffle maker and began using them. Big mistake. It stuck tight. I should have sprayed them with oil first. I believe the directions say you don't have to use oil on them except the first time but I didn't find that to be true. I sprayed them once but they continued to stick. So I had to use spray every other waffle and I definitely had to spray when I had a sugary ingredient like chocolate chips. So I won't be putting them in the dishwasher again. Just being able to remove them and clean them is good enough for me.Something with almost 2,500 reviews really doesn't need another one but here goes anyway. I have never owned a waffle iron. Didn't see the point but another vacation this year with a waffle iron in the hotel lobby for the complimentary breakfast made me do it. Glad I did. My teenagers love it. I love the throw in dishwasher part although I haven't. We've been using it at least every other day. Since reading about the orange peeling off from another review after a year or so, I probably won't ever actually put it in the dishwasher. I won't be mad either if it doesn't last more than a year after so much use. It also wasn't a $100 purchase so I think if it lasts 6 months I'm good. It will probably be on sale for Black Friday anyway. Our first set of waffles were perfect. The only recipe I had called for eggs but we didn't have any so I looked on Pinterest for an eggless recipe. Found - 2 cups flour, 2 tsp sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, 4 tbl melted butter, 2 tbl water, 2 tsp vanilla, 2 cups milk and 2 tbl oil. Like I said, perfect. Light fluffy kind of crispy on outside. Started adding choc. chips, nutmeg, pecans, apples, blueberries, etc. in subsequent batches. Still perfect. Just the right thickness to hold extras. We ran out of flour so tried Hungry Jack pancake complete mix and it was edible. Just tasted like pancakes, only thicker. Won't do that again.UPDATE LESS THAN A YEAR FROM PURCHASE-MAJOR DOWNGRADE FROM 5 STARSJust overheated this morning and handle melted off. Just used it yesterday and made one waffle before unplugging it to make more waffle mix. Plugged it back up to reheat. Less than 10 minutes later see pics

Easy to Clean and Works Great!
I haven't had any problems, and waffles always come out perfectly cooked! I don't follow the light timer; instead, I use my preferred one, so I can't review that. But it's an excellent waffle maker anyway!

Perfect waffles every time
I enjoy waffles and have a few waffle specific cookbooks which I try out every now and then. I wanted a maker with ceramic plates but I was hesitant to spend the money on it so was happy to get one for Christmas! It's now several months later and I've used it every Saturday morning and a number of lunches with different recipes. This gadget is easy to use and easy to clean. If the grids are dirty they just pop off and are quickly cleaned. I like that the handle folds, it makes storing it take up less space.

Works well but temperature control is harder than my previous one
Works well but temperature control is harder than my previous one, probably because the plates are removable and that the temperature transfer is not as efficient. But it's easy to clean, so it's a tradeoff. Overall pretty satisfied.
