Great introduction to hobby gaming! Fast and fun!
I love games. I have a lot of them. My husband loves games less. He has little patience for games that take more than 15 or 20 minutes. (Even though he often wins if he plays). This is a fun game he will play any time, and one that our whole family really enjoys. It gives you a satisfying taste of the bigger Ticket to RIde game in a much shorter time frame. The map in this game is the city of London, and the "trains" are double decker buses. Points are awarded for placing buses on connections between cities, completing routes between cities, and connecting all the cities in a district. Turns are simple, consisting of either drawing transportation cards, placing buses using transportation cards, or taking new route cards. There is some tension as the map gets pretty tight when playing with a full complement of four players - that city you need to get to may be blocked off by one of your opponents. But take heart - this game only lasts 15 to 20 minutes, so any frustration you might encounter will be very temporary. Very fun for families, gamers who need a quick filler, or people wanting an easy entry into the wonderful world of hobby gaming.

Short and fun
I've played Ticket to Ride. I actually played that after playing this many times. Ticket to Ride is absolutely enjoyable, but quite long for a game that doesn't have as much to it. (Yes, I know some people would blast me for saying that.) I feel like everyone is yawning by the end of the game. On the flip side, this version is great! It's short. You can easily play 2-4 rounds in an hour with kids. And, it keeps their attention. I enjoy long form games, but Ticket to Ride isn't that. My wife says she likes the original more because there are so mamy more routes possible. I like this one more because there are fewer routes possible so more strategy is required.

Faster, more kid-friendly variation
I debated between this version and the junior version for my elementary aged kids. Iโm glad I ordered this one instead for several reasons. 1. Itโs almost half the price of the kid version! 2. Smaller board/map with less destinations on it is perfect for young beginners, being less overwhelming for them. 3. Shorter destinations mean less cards to hold which is great for kids. 4. Takes only 15 minutes to play, which is great for younger kidsโ attention spans. It also scratches my Ticket to Ride itch without playing for 1-3 hours. 5. Since itโs not โdumbed down,โ adults can enjoy it too, even though itโs a shorter, simpler version of the game. I think Iโll buy the London version next!

I have bought at least 3 of these!
I bought one for us, then gave one of our kids one, then when Covid hit, I sent one to another one of our kids out of town. Then when we moved and met our neighbors, I told the one homeschool mom how fun this game is and her sons would enjoy playing since my grandkids do. I gave her our copy to borrow and then just told her to keep it and ordered another copy for myself. This is a great version to play before you play the BIG version so you get the concept down. This version only takes maybe 20 minutes to play. Hubby and I would play best 2 out of 3 games was the day's winner. I will say we did get the London one too, but it is not as fun. And we have the bigger one with the expansion. I do recommend getting card covers or using a card shuffler so you don't damage the cards as quickly as we did. They are not cheap to replace! And we had to replace ours within 6 months because of how much we played the game!

Great product, terrible delivery
Smaller than the original. But better for quicker games. Fun to play. Worth the price. Terrible delivery: Item was ordered on Tuesday (need by Sunday) with a delivery date by Friday, after it didn't show up on Friday Amazon pushed the delivery back to Sunday, it finally arrived on Monday. When I checked the UPS tracking a label was made for it on Tuesday but didn't show info on it (meaning the company didn't submit it to UPS) until Thursday.

Plays Quick!
I love these little TTR games. These smaller versions play quickly with any amount of players. I think it plays better at 3-4 players, but still plays well at 2 players. It is great when you want to play a quick game that is easy to teach or learn and you don't want to play a large TTR game.

Ticket to Ride Games is the best board games for families.
My family is hung up on Ticket to Ride games. We own 12 of them and will continue to buy others when they become available. The first game we bought we wore the train cards out. We cannot find replacement cards. Other than that, the Ticket to Ride Games is a must for families who like to play board games.

GET THIS (not first journey) for your kids if they can pick up board games easily!!
My 7yo caught onto this game quickly, and it's a nice quick, easy play. We love it for evenings we want to play a game but not enough time for the full Ticket to Ride versions or Pandemic or something. We almost got her the first journey version, but instead just bought the app for my phone that she can play sometimes; and she plays it with my nephew when he visits (he has moved on to the original TTR version as a 10yo). It's very easy for her, almost boring, so she likes the TTR: NY and the original TTR version; we play with open hands on that one usually so she can ask for help when needed. In summary: If you think the TTR: First Journey could be too simple for your kid, buy this version (TTR: NY) instead. It's straight forward, simple and quick to learn, and I think a good warm-up for the original TTR (Or other TTR versions).

Fab short play version of a modern board game classic
TTR NY is a short play version of what has become a modern board gaming classic. The full ticket to ride can take up to an hour to play this mini version is around 20mins. Having played both USA and Europe versions of the game I wasnโt sure why this was needed. Then we played it. This is a perfect version to play with kids, itโs simple and the scoring is at the end of the game, and itโs quick at around 20mins. This is perfect to teach new players how to play. Itโs quite compact you do not need too much space and even comes with a pencil and score pad. Nice that itโs up to 4 players but is still great with 2 players.

Great Family Game
Really fun game. Easy to learn and quick to play, which makes it perfect for family nights or when you donโt have time for a long board game. Compact version of Ticket to Ride but still has the same strategy and excitement. Everyone enjoys it.
