Viesimple V4 Manual Grinder – Foldable, 30g, Conical Burr, Aluminum | For Travel, Camping & Home
I used to think manual grinders were just for hipsters who hate convenience… until I got this Viesimple V4. 🤠 Yes, I have to crank it by hand, but the payoff is chef’s kiss—no more lumpy grinds ruining my espresso! The foldable handle means I can bring it to my weekend camping trips without looking like a coffee snob (okay, maybe a little bit). The aluminum body feels like it could survive a drop off a cliff, and the 30g capacity is just enough to fuel my caffeine addiction. Is it a bit pricier than cheap plastic grinders? Sure. But if you care about your coffee, this is the one to get. My mornings are now 10x better, and my arm is 1x stronger. Win-win!

Coffee freshly ground, there is no comparison
Perfect! I don't have a coffee machine at home, I've always had ground coffee and already packaged from the supermarket, but the flavor changes as the days go by. I decided to buy a coffee grinder and it worked. This grinder is easy to use, but I advise you to read the manual first. It is heavy, sturdy and has a very beautiful design. I haven't tried all types of grinding, I opted for my favorite, the espresso. The taste of freshly ground coffee has no comparison, just trying it to understand. It was worth the investment! I highly recommend it.

Cool tech! Its Anti-static
Its anti-static and I love that. 80 Grinding levels and the built quality is premium. Adjustable grinder handle makes grinding easier! Totally worth it.

Not really worth it.
There are much cheaper options that are the same quality on Amazon. This grinder has a couple gimmicky qualities that would have been great if they worked well but they don't. The "antistatic" mechanism really let me down and the adjustment doesn't adjust anywhere near a coarse setting so it doesn't really work well with pour over coffee makers unless you're using paper filters. I would have adjusted the burr out a little if that was possible but instead of using a left hand thread design to hold the parts together they use a locking sleeve that has a tendency to unlock while grinding coffee which causes the burr to partially fall out of the bottom into the dose cup. This allows the coffee to fill the space which makes it impossible to fix unless you dump out all your partially ground beans and completely reassemble the grinder. It does work most of the time as long as you need a more finely ground coffee but like I said there are much better options for much less than the $120 they're asking for this.

Solid build, good clarity, effective anti-static. The usability can be better but not dealbreaker.
I’ve tested this Manual Coffee Grinder mainly for pour over and occasionally for espresso, and overall it’s a very solid piece of equipment. The first thing you notice is the build quality. The full aluminum alloy body feels heavy and extremely solid in hand. Nothing about it feels flimsy or hollow. Every part, from the burr set to the adjustment dial, seems well made. It has that dense, premium feel that inspires confidence it will last a long time. In terms of portability, it comes with a carrying bag and is designed for easy travel or camping. That said, it’s on the heavier side for something marketed as portable. It’s definitely travel-friendly, but you’ll feel the weight if you’re packing light. Grinding effort is reasonable to good, but not effortless. For coarser settings like pour over or French press, it’s very manageable and smooth. Espresso grinding is absolutely doable, but it requires noticeably more effort. Compared to my 1ZPresso K-Ultra, this one actually requires slightly less effort overall, which was a pleasant surprise. The anti-static design is excellent. I use RDT before grinding, and combined with the grinder’s built-in anti-static feature, the retention and mess are minimal. With my K-Ultra, I still get some grounds clinging to the bottom even with RDT. This grinder stays impressively clean, which makes daily use more enjoyable. The external adjustment system is a must at this price point. The clicks are crisp and satisfying, and dialing in is straightforward and precise. It feels well thought out and easy to repeat settings. There are a couple of usability quirks. Removing the top cap isn’t effortless, in fact, you will need to align the opening with the handle to remove the cap, which is a little annoying to do. The handle and cap are separate, and since the handle screws on for portability, it’s not especially convenient when loading beans with the handle in the way. If you mostly use it at home and keep the handle attached, you’ll need to be mindful when storing it so it doesn’t get knocked over. As for taste, for pour over it produces a very clean cup with a medium-bright profile. It actually reminds me of the clarity from the ZP6. It's crisp, transparent flavors with good clarity. That’s where this grinder really shines. Overall, this is a heavy-duty, well-built manual grinder with excellent anti-static performance and a great external adjustment system. It’s not the lightest travel option (but good travel design) and espresso grinding takes some effort, but for pour over lovers who value clarity and clean workflow, it’s a strong performer. It'll be a solid 5 star if the handle and the cap can be easier to remove.

Quiet and efficient!
The V4 Manual Coffee Grinder is an impressive tool for home baristas and travelers who value precision and durability. Its standout feature is the external adjustment dial, which allows you to switch between grind settings for espresso or drip coffee effortlessly without taking the unit apart. This grinder offers exceptional value for money by delivering professional-grade stainless steel burrs that ensure a consistent grind size for better-tasting extractions. The ergonomic design and smooth bearings provide a high level of ease of use, reducing the physical effort required to grind even lighter roast beans. With its robust construction and high-quality internal components, this manual grinder is built for long-term quality and performance in any environment.
