I finally got around to replacing our old, manky overflow cover. The chrome was coming off and there were stains in the plastic that wouldn't shift with cleaning products, but I was concerned that I might break the old one taking it out and that a replacement might not fit properly... And that would leave us with an unsightly hole in the back of the sink... No worries on the replacement size, this fits perfectly and was a doddle to fit - simply push in and the soft plastic bit around the back of the ring grips the overflow nicely. This is also flatter in profile than the one it replaces and it sits more flush with the back of the sink, so hopefully less chance for crud to build up. As for getting the old one out... As you can see in one of the photos, I wrapped a couple of bits of picture hanging wire around it and used a pair of pliers to pull it free. It worked a treat and now the sink looks much better. What's more, a two pack at this price means that I have a spare should the new one get a bit manky looking in the future. That's a bargain iny book.

There are 2 overflow covers in the packet. These are made of metal instead of plastic and the quality of the chrome covering looks rich and deep, far superior than plastic. They fit in the sink snug and tight and look superb. Just push until they click in. A high quality product that I recommend.
