The BMF DIRECT 6mm² ( 10 AWG ) Solar Panel PV Cable is as expected, a very good quality PV solar cable. It's a double Insulated DC photovoltaic multi-stranded cable. The cable has a tough outer sheaf of insulation, and also an inner insulation as well. I used wire strippers to remove the cable ends, and fitted MC4 connectors. I tinned the 6mm² multi-strand wire with solder first before crimping and soldering the MC4 connectors. They fitted perfectly onto this cable giving a snug watertight seal. Good sturdy cable. It's a bit stiffer than I woud have liked but it's flexible enough for what I need it for. Easy to work with.

great cable but misleading as you only get one red or black so watch out, good cable easy to cut and set up

I started using this solar cable a few days ago and it’s been really reliable. The double insulation feels strong and gives me confidence for outdoor use, and the flexibility makes it easy to route between panels and the charge controller. The black and red colors are clear for positive and negative connections, which helps avoid mistakes. Overall, it’s a solid cable for solar installations.

This cable is exactly what they say it is and is perfect for outside use as it is doubly insulated but it is very difficult to separate the outside protection from the inside to make it pliable to get bends inside connection boxes etc. the cable itself Is well tinned for moisture protection so no problems there, the main thing is that it is listed as black and red and only black came which is misleading as it should be listed as black OR red to clarify exactly what you are buying which then leads on to it being quite expensive for what you actually get 🙁🙁

The BLACK cable has a rubberised jacket and flexible allowing it to be easily mounted or follow a roof line when securing it. Its 6mm and of good quality.
