Gone Fishin' Birdhouse

I have a 10 foot tree that I leave up year around. This bird house is perfect on this size of tree! I'm very happy with the detail, the quality is just fine for my indoor tree, and I loved the price! It is just what I was looking for! It arrived well packaged and right on time! I'll be looking for a few more like this for sure!

This birdhouse met my expectations all the way. I think it is well built and very cute. I only want it for decoration so will put some screen on the openings in order for birds to not use it so our outside cats don't think it's a buffet! I haven't had it very long so I don't know how it will weather but I hope it does well over time.

I ordered these birdhouse for our campsite this year. I have a coral type fence on the edge of the road and thought I would place these on the top of the posts. There are plenty of birds in the vicinity and I have now started to buy seed, suet and have many feeders including hummingbird feeders as they are always around. This birdhouse measures 8 inches high and 8 inches wide. It is a log cabin with the motif of fishing (which is one of my husband's hobbies). There are two entry holes to get inside and two additional holes for decoration. The cabin is a sturdy wood with a strong twig at the top for hanging. The decoration on the outside is a "gone fishing" sign and a fishing net leaning against the pole of the porch. There is a ladder made of dowells Which enters a very small porch at the level of the rooftop. The whole house is decorated with dried strings of fringe but not secured very well. I think we will enjoy seeing if we can get a tenant this year!

My husband recently went on a fishing trip with our sons and I wanted to give him something as a "memory" of that trip. This cute bird house was perfect. I made it personal by adding the date and name of the lake. He's so happy with it that it's in his office rather than outside. It's really nice and well made.

So far it's been too cold for birds to use it, but it looks good hanging up outside. It may not last years, but so far it's made it through many rains and a good snowfall! I recommend this birdhouse.

This is a cute little bird house but it will not be sturdy enough to support the birds so I am using it as a garden decoration. It seems to have been poorly put together, like the maker was in a serious rush to get it out the door. The hanger is a VERY STIFF bent stick that I thought was stapled down for shipping purposes. Nope. I broke the stick trying to get it up so I could hang it. Sooooo I stapled some hemp twine to it to fashion a hanger but the way it is made, it will not hang straight. I will recommend if you will be using this for a decoration but I don not recommend if you want to use this as an actual bird house.

Bought this for a gift for a very close friend who is like family and he loved it!!

Though cute in design to the human eye, this bird house turned out to disappoint. It’s more of an outdoor ornament than an actual bird house. My wife and I were excited at first when we saw that an eastern bluebird began building a nest in it. But Within days of the first rains the house started to grow mold and to our great disappointment, the strings made of straw, from which house hangs from, rotted and the bird house plummeted to the ground cracking the baby egg inside of it. On top of everything, this bird house doesn't even have a way to clean the inside of it, which is what one would do to attract more birds the following year. Bottom line, contrary to us humans, birds are not impressed by the flashiness of the house decor. They just need something simple and secure where they baby birds can safely hatch and thrive. We buried the egg in our yard and threw the house away. Therefore, I would not recommend this bird house.
