Absolutely first-rate support, and a high quality CCTV product
This product offers true HD (1080p) both during the day and during the night. As others have said, car number plates are legible, for example.Alerts come through the app within literally a couple of seconds of motion being detected in the areas you have specified. Emails arrive promptly, too; these contain a still of the period during which movement was detected.I did not receive this product as part of any promotion, and so these opinions are my own and unbiased.Motion mode works perfectly during the day. PIR mode is better for nighttime, in this reviewer's opinion, since rapidly changing lighting conditions at night (e.g. caused by passing car headlights) do appear as motion to the system. The great thing is you can actually schedule motion detection for one set of dates and times, and PIR for another, and so the system allows you to get the best of both approaches. I use PIR at night. The interface is easy to use. If you want to see all alarms during a period of time, on a given day, for a particular camera in your setup, for example, then you can easily specify these conditions, and any matching motion-containing video segments are displayed for instant viewing. The cameras have a metal housing, which gives the product a quality feel. I have been using this system for a few days, and there have been zero video feed dropouts (I would know because the system is configured to email me if this ever happens) and there has been no video feed freezing/stalling during any footage I have reviewed. This reliability and continuity are subject to the user ensuring a good signal between the cameras and the NVR, obviously. The most important feature, which I absolutely insisted on when choosing a CCTV solution, was the ability to 'draw a box' around parts of a video image, to be able to exclude areas of the video feed which I knew would contain motion - motion which was of no interest to me. For example, you may position a camera such that some of a road/pavement is picked up in the feed, but you may not be interested in receiving an alert every time a car/person passes on said road/pavement. This system allows you to draw that box, thereby blocking areas outside of your property boundary from triggering alerts.I think Tonton could make the above feature clearer in this product's description, because it is a real boon. Finally, I must mention Tonton's support. In my case, I had a lot of questions about this system while I was learning the ropes, and I received very prompt responses to all of these questions from Milly at Tonton. It was a one-to-one service, and a friendly one at that. I got the distinct impression that Milly - and, by extension, Tonton - cared about my experience and my safety (safety being a big part of why I chose to install a CCTV system in the first place). Milly was very patient, understanding, and she went to lengths to help me with my queries. Where my queries were technical, Milly referred these to Tonton's technicians, who in turn responded promptly, via Milly.Note: In the video I uploaded, as I strolled into frame I was promptly notified about it on my phone. Test successful. :)

Good initially but let down by support - now all sorted.
Very pleased with the initial setup and performance of the security system. Had a problem with the additional camera but that was replaced pretty quickly. However, since then another of the cameras packed up completely and I have been unable to get it replaced, although it is still within the guarantee period!Have now taken delivery of the second replacement camera, thanks to help from Milly. No problem adding the new camera.

Fully recommended
Having used the system for almost nine months now I feel that it might be helpful to share my experiences with those who are considering installing one.We have a large house with outbuildings in a remote part of the countryside so it is reassuring to be able to know what is happening particularly when we are away. With this system it is possible to view live and playback video and sound from any location in the world (subject to phone or WIFI access). Individual cameras can be programmed to send motion alerts through notifications. The network video recorder (NVR) has an inbuilt wireless hub and the four cameras (or more if you have them) are pre-configured to work with this immediately. This makes set up very easy. Most people should be able to get the basic system up and running without difficulty. To see the live view or recorded playback you can plug a TV into the HDMI output on the NVR or a VGA screen into the VGA output (or both if you want to!). Alternatively you can view on a PC, tablet or phone using the appropriate application.Initially I connected the NVR to the router via a powerline adapter (TP-Link NV500& WPA4220). This was not a good idea. It appeared to work but connectivity was intermittent. I have now connected the NVR directly to the network and I would recommend this. The system is supplied with a mouse so that the channels can be configured in different ways to detect motion, send alerts, etc. The NVR has an inbuilt buzzer to signal motion detected locally if required. The NVR can record eight channels and with a 2 TB disk that is about six weeks of continuous recording before the system automatically starts to overwrite the earliest recordings.Image quality is very good indeed. I have tried several other systems and they all seem to have lower quality and suffer from โbarrel distortionโ โ a defect caused by the lens where straight vertical lines at the edges appear curved. Tonton cameras produce clear undistorted video with good colour reproduction. You need a good display to get the best out of them.Another benefit of the TonTon system is that it supports ONVIF standard (Open Network Video Interface Forum) so it allows other makes of camera to be connected. I had a number of existing Dericam internal cameras and these are now fully integrated and recording on the NVR. Surprisingly not all manufacturers support ONVIF so probably best to avoid those that donโt as you may want to add different cameras when you change or upgrade parts of the system.Be aware that WIFI range is limited particularly when trying to pass through thick external walls. Fortunately the cameras can be connected by ethernet direct to any point in the network (not just the NVR). This is useful for the cameras that are too far for the WIFI to reach and prevents the โNo Videoโ display which will occur on that channel either intermittently or permanently in the worst case. Finally, and many people have mentioned this in their reviews, TonTon support is very good. These are complicated systems and can be affected my many external factors. It is reassuring to have speedy and knowledgeable support by people who really will do everything they can to make things work for you.

Excellent cameras, good value for money Fantastic service
Bought this system November 2018Was easy to set up Picture is nice and clear.I have been able to look at the pictures while away through my mobile phone both in the UK and abroad.Within the warranty period I have had an issue with one camera going dead. This issue was dealt with very quickly via email to Abby at Ton Ton service. She assures me a replacement camera is on the way. Excellent after sales serviceOverall very pleased and would recommend this product.I have now received the replacement camera, and had a problem registering it on to my DVR, nothing wrong with the product, purely down to my lack of IT knowledge.Again had fantastic service from Abby at Ton Ton customer service, both via email and whatsapp.Cannot praise this system enough good quality, good price. would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cctv system.

Brilliant After Sales Support
I have been looking for a wifi security camera system for a while until I read the reviews of the Tonton system. Although the cameras require power via a mains adaptor, this was not a problem. I selected a system with four cameras and a 2Tb hard drive for maximum storage. When installing the system I ran into some issues when using a very old Monitor which I initially used to set up the system. Although the boot up screen appeared, the live images, after boot-up did not. This appeared to be a compatibility issue of this old monitor regarding the (low) resolution of the screen. I must say, the Tonton Support Team (Milly and Abby) was second to none. Brilliant!!! Milly immediately jumped on the case and was extremely helpful until the issue was resolved by using a modern TV monitor via the HDMI cable during the set up process. I installed it in stages, and so far I am running the system with two cameras only until I can connect the other two to a suitable power outlet in the vicinity of where I want to place the cameras. I found that because of the distance of one of the cameras (in the back garden), the wifi signal was not very strong (though working!), but by using the 'repeater option' I have could improve the signal strength by using the nearer camera as a 'relay station' or booster. The setup for this was very easy to figure out with the help of the User Manual. To set up my phone for alert messages and screen shots via the App and via email took a little while to puzzle but I managed to get there in the end. Perhaps the User Manual could be slightly more comprehensive, i.e. more text to support the screen shot pictures, but on the whole, it is a fairly logical way to set everything up. You can set up timed recordings and/or alert or event recordings and the manual guided me through this quite easily.I would definitely recommend this system as the picture quality is very good. Even at night in complete darkness, you still have quite good image quality.Another reason for buying this particular system was the availability of and the trust in the Technical Support, in case of any problems. Allowing for the timezone differences, my queries were addressed extremely quickly by Milly. I feel confident that if I have any other issues, The Support Team will guide me through again.JW.

Happy Customer here!
The system was delivered with a broken power plug out of the box....so messaged Milly who sent the replacement the very next day, I thought that was brilliant and I was very happy with this service. This is my first cctv and have to say it was quite easy to set up, picture is great...any problems were quickly sorted out via Milly at tonton. You do need a plug socket or extension lead to be near each camera, so bare that in mind. But you can the buy the thin camera extension leads from Amazon, which is easier to mask or fit through walls or windows. I have the NVR connected to our main TV, wifi connection is very good too. Just plug cameras in and they automatically connect to NVR its that simple. Overall, I think this is a good quality product and good value for money. Thanks again to Milly for your support.
