Works great - with an important caveat..
This works very well and as expected. My needs are to run a remote setup with one computer a floor away and monitor/input devices in the office, about 40' from the computer. I tested this with a USB-C dock and it works great. Be aware that each end of this USB-C cable is seen by Windows as a USB Hub. There's a limit to nested hubs (hub attached to a hub) in windows. With this cable attached to an external hub, it was then three hubs away. When I plugged in a device that had a USB port in it (a hub) to the external Hub, it was not recognized and would not work as it was too many hubs away from the PC. Windows won't see it. So this works great if your devices will use this cable by itself, or if your devices plug directly into a USB-C hub that is using this cable to connect to the PC. If that device has a USB-port on it (my wireless mouse dock has one of these as well as my headset stand), it won't work.

Quality Long Cable
This USB C fiber optic cable has worked very well for my long distance setup. The 50 ft length lets me place equipment far from the computer without signal loss (that I could detect). Data transfer has been stable at high speed for video and camera use. The right angle connector is helpful in tight spaces behind equipment. The cable is thin and easy to route along walls or desks. It is important to know that it does not provide power, as advertised. It is also directional so the ends need to be connected correctly. Once installed properly it performs exactly as advertised for video conferencing, cameras, or VR use.

Great for thunderbolt storage
This is a fantastic cable, and I haven't faced any problems with drops. I own a Thunderbolt-based DAS, which is excellent, but the limitation of a short cable became frustrating, especially regarding noise. Now, I can place this elsewhere without any performance issues. There are absolutely no impacts on performance at all.
