Great
Got these to try adding a bit more iron into meals without changing much else. I’ve been dropping one into soups and curries while cooking, and also tried it in boiling water for tea. It’s simple to use, just rinse it after and let it dry properly. They’re solid and have a bit of weight to them, feels like proper cast iron rather than something flimsy. Didn’t notice any change in taste which I was slightly worried about. No rust issues so far either, as long as you dry it well after use. Hard to measure the effect straight away, but it’s an easy addition to cooking and doesn’t get in the way. For what it is, it does the job and feels safe to use. Would recommend.

Simple way to add iron when cooking with liquids.
So pleased I got the chance to try out these iron fish—while looking to increase my dietary iron intake I’d heard about the efficacy of either cooking with cast iron pans (too heavy for me) or adding iron fish to the pot to naturally increase the dietary iron content of food, as the elemental iron leaches into the food as it cooks—so I jumped at the chance to try them out. They’re very simple to use; simply add an iron fish to boiling water with vegetables or pasta or even casseroles, stews, curries, and other liquid-based dishes, and apparently after about 10 minutes the product information states that 6 – 8 mg of iron will be released into the food. Iron absorption works better with Vitamin C, so adding peppers, tomatoes or lemon juice helps. I must stress that cooking with the fish does not affect taste! Even though you can smell the iron on the fish, and on your hands after you’ve handled them, it’s imperceptible in food. A simple, reusable, iron-food-fortification method, which is a safe, easy way to boost daily iron intake. I’m pleased with these and happy to recommend.
