Sewing Kit

Received promptly. Very nice little pre-packaged set. The thread it came with is SUPER strong [wife even commented that she was impressed with the quality of the thread]. Thread is nice and thick. Needles and other tools - as well as even a thimble all look to be of good quality for the price point. Functionally a very sound little travel kit. Can be packed away just about anywhere and still accessible. All tools were sharp, no dull bits. Going right into the SHTF backpack!

Great kit with everything I need on my trip and everyday life (only some additional thread needed). But the package feels very thin and flimsy. I think it could easily break or damage in a heavy backpack.

Nice small kit

I really like this hiking and emergency kit or bug-out bag sewing kit. The case isn't as tough as I thought it'd be. The case is Tougher but easily crushable but not necessarily easily breakable. Keeps everything in place and is very practical for a hiking trip and an emergency kit or in a bug-out bag. This is a very practical item to include in a hiking kit or bug-out bag to make repairs. The 4 stars are only because no scissors. The thread is a good quality nylon that will see a good secure line in hiking or tactical backpacks or hiking clothing and other gear

I thought this would be one of those things you bring as an "emergency item" that just takes up space and weight in the pack. But actually, it saved me a few times on the trail for various reasons. I added a tiny bottle of super glue to the kit and that may this little setup now indispensable for my travels in the backcountry. The container is nice an light and easy to get in and out of, and the included needles are super duty for getting through thick pack materials. I would recommend for sure.

This is a decent kit, it will be handy. the needles, thimble, and individual items are of decent quality. I would like to see a bit more thread, maybe another size needle or two, but I knew the contents before purchasing. My problem with the kit is the plastic container. Its a very thin plastic that is easily compressed, even smashed. In a larger kit heavier items could potentially break the container or at least cause it to come open. the top screws onto the base but the plastic is so thin its hard to do at times and is poorly secured. I will end up putting the contents in an old Altoids can and be done with it. Disappointing because I had a specific place for it in one of my MOLLE pouches but the plastic is just not up to par. Otherwise its a decent kit. You could make one for much less and with the poorly designed container this may not be worth the money.

Simple kit good for hiking

The contents of the tube are all excellent quality and Nothing is what I would consider ‘disposable - use once and discard’. But the case could use some rethinking. It’s larger than necessary, definitely not crushproof, and the only way to access anything inside is by emptying everything out. Kept the contents and discarded the tube. A mini- plastic box works better for me.

I find this kit very useful, I have found another hard plastic case for it as the supplied tub broke in my bag the first time I used it.
