What is the difference between Dececco mugnai dal 1831 and dal 1886? Is it just different packaging?

The year 1831 tells the beginning of the factory what was owned by a group of pasta makers later in 1886 the Dececco sons took over. Its just a their history on the pasta industry. All the pasta is the same.

Is this thick or thin spaghetti?

This is sized just like all other pasta you buy. We buy #11 which is your normal, medium thickness spaghetti. The question you're aksing is for the #12, which is more of a flat thicker spaghetti, similiar to what you would see in chicken noodle soup.
