Good product, easy to take anyplace and works
This was raving all over social media right before I had my first baby. So I bought this in 2023. I used it every single feeding. As a FTM I had no clue what I was doing, if it was good, how to do it properly all the things. As a second time mom I feel like I know a little more this time around with these manual pumps and I’d love to give my feedback for any other mamas out there looking for some help/advice. Overall This product is a good manual easy way to pump/start to express milk or catch a letdown (without a hard suction light squeeze) Pros: *easy to use- I will mention sometimes for me I’d have to adjust it a few times to get it around my nipple and areola’s in the right spot. Or my milk wouldn’t come out properly. *lightweight/ very convenient to take anyplace *quiet/ no cords or machine *works very very well * holds a good amount of milk *last a long time for good use Cons: *Baby would kick it off if trying to use during a feeding (cradle position) and if I would get up or move it looses suction I would have to hold it when I walk. *suction is VERY strong- it would be painful most the time and even sometimes it wouldn’t get all my milk out because it doesn’t reach closer to my nipple. So self express had to be done as well. *over supply/nipple stimulation- I believe this pump made me an over suppler with my first because I would use it each feed (every hour) for months because of cluster feeding. This time around I use it here and there because I didn’t want an over supply. And I notice a huge difference. *tips over easily ( that’s why I bought another with a lid and suction on bottom) buuuuut for the price I hardly used the lid actually never did. Haha and the suction on the bottom is okay. *a bit more pricy for the lid/suction than the other regular one. If it were me I’d only buy the other one for less money. Because they both do the same thing.

Revolutionizing Breast Pumping: Unmatched Comfort and Convenience for Every Breastfeeding Mom
My wife and I stumbled upon this breast pump, and it's an absolute game-changer! Why this wasn't on our radar sooner is beyond us. Let me break it down: Pros: - The comfort level is off the charts, surpassing the electric pump she previously used. - Remarkably, it matches the milk expression of an electric pump without any setup hassle – and it's hands-free! I even witnessed my wife wearing it while preparing a meal; the convenience is unparalleled. - Lightning-fast delivery, arriving the same day we ordered. Initially skeptical, my wife quickly realized it surpassed the hype. - Ideal for quiet moments during our baby's nap; it operates silently, ensuring no disturbance. Using it on one breast while feeding on the other resulted in it being halfway filled within minutes, outpacing the speed and comfort of the electronic pump. - Opting for the 150ml version with the top proved to be a wise choice. Storing in the fridge and cleaning at work became a breeze compared to the closed cups of the electric pump. - An absolute essential for breastfeeding moms – my wife has three! If one ever goes missing, we know what we're replacing immediately. It has significantly reduced pumping and hand-pumping time, establishing itself as a must-have. - Regretting not having this with our first child three years ago. Particularly beneficial for sensitive nipples, sparing my wife the pain often caused by electronic pumps. Both comfort and price-wise, these pumps are unbeatable. In conclusion, this breast pump is a resounding success – comfortable, convenient, and an absolute necessity for any breastfeeding mom. We're thoroughly impressed! Cons: None.

This is a Need item for postpartum
I just started using this and I am impressed! My baby is a week old and I am in the phase where my boobs are solid as rocks because they are so full. I used it the first time while baby was nursing the other side. It suctioned on easily and held itself in place without a problem. I don't leak a lot, just enough to show a few drops through a shirt if I don't have a pad on. So I wasn't sure how much I would get from this. I collected 2.5 ounces. The second time I used it on my "slacker boob" I did a bit of compression to see if that would still work. No problems. As long as I wasn't getting crazy with the compression the Haakaa staid suctioned and in place. Even when it did loose suction because I was being overzealous it was relatively slow, meaning I was able to catch it (one handed as I was still nursing baby) without it spilling. I collected another 2 oz. I had been pumping to get myself a little relief and to store up a bit of a stash but I think this is easier than washing all those pump parts, tracking down a pumping bra, sitting next to an outlet, etc. I don't know how long this will be useful as I'm sure once the initial over supply has regulated it won't pull as much milk. With my first baby that was somewhere around 3 months so I think it will get a decent amount of use. I would definitely recommend and, for me, this would go more on a Need list than a Want list. It is just so much easier than pumping, gives mom relief and helps build a stash without spending any more time than you normally would spend nursing. It is relatively easy to clean although you will likely want a bottle brush... something you should have anyway if you are bottle feeding the baby.

Mind blowingly amazing
I can’t stop loving this. It’s outstanding. I attach it while breastfeeding and it helps me empty my breast fully and in turn potentially helps you produce more milk. It’s not a rule because with my first I didn’t produce as much milk but the haakaa was just so portable that it felt better to use my haakaa than an electric pump I would even get more let downs. With my second I use. Portable electric pump but I still swear by the haakaa you can attach it before your baby goes on first thing in the morning to reduce the early morning fullness. I use it all day long and again I love that it’s a one part to clean. I only use the electric pump in the middle of the night while my baby sleeps, and on the go. But the haakaa is amazing. It lasts about three months while running it through the dishwasher. It still works amazing but does come off if your baby is messing with it.

Perfect for catching letdown — just be careful with wiggle-prone babies!
I used this mainly to catch letdown on the opposite side while nursing, and it worked really well for that purpose. It’s an easy, hands-free way to build up a small fridge stash without having to pump separately. The suction is strong enough to stay in place most of the time, and the lid is a nice bonus for storage. That said, if your baby is squirmy (like mine!), you’ll want to keep a hand nearby — it can be knocked off easily if bumped. Still, it’s a great, low-effort tool to make the most of every feeding.

Good product
This is one of my staple gifts for baby showers and something I relied on a lot while breastfeeding. It’s been a really useful and dependable product overall. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it tends to collect soap scum easily when washed, whether in the bottle washer or by hand.

Try it!! Game changer for my weak supply
Has increased my supply! Not an electric pump replacement, but for those people who aren’t huge producers and are pumping in addition to breastfeeding to increase or maintain supply, I think you owe it to yourself to try this, since you can take advantage of letdown while feeding and the baby doing a better job removing milk than a pump. Before using this, I was using a double electric breast pump 4-5 times a day and doing combo breastfeeding and bottle feeding. I was always stressing about not pumping enough and my supply dropping. Since using the haakaa on one side while breastfeeding, I’ve been able to discontinue pumping (baby around 2mos old) and am storing at least 1 6oz freezer bag of milk each day. I never imagined this would be possible for me! I have one breast that makes significantly less than the other and I would struggle to get one oz from that side with the double electric pump going for 20-25 min - while massaging, to top things off! This was during a pumping session where the baby was bottle fed. I was barely keeping up with what the baby needed, and the chafing sucked.. Using the Haakaa I collect MORE milk than with pumping, while also feeding the baby at the same time so I can store the Haakaa milk instead of using for the next feeding. No more chafing, no more pumping dread or having to ask hubby to watch the baby while I pump. I could feel my breasts getting more full between feedings in response to starting Haakaa use. Love being able to control the suction. If baby is hungrier I’ll suction less on the first side to “leave” more for her or if she seems almost done I’ll try to get it all (trying to maintain/increase supply). I will say the suction on me doesn’t seem strong enough to hold for more than a few seconds, or maybe it’s my lotion or that I don’t like it on that tight. Especially with how much the baby moves/kicks I don’t trust it hands-free. Also be aware of the foremilk/hindmilk mix as others have mentioned and don’t feed baby just the foremilk. The Haakaa does seem to collect the hindmilk drops which ooze out slower. Just have to leave it on longer. Lastly, the wider base seems like a necessary feature. I’ve gotten close to spilling so many times, especially during those late-night feedings!

You need it
Love love love this pump is an understatement. I find when I’m pumping or breast feeding on one side and put the hakaa one the other side to collect the leakage. I find I get way more milk using the hakaa than I do anything else. This is a staple for anyone who breast feeds or pumps. Bonus that it comes with a lid so you can store it in the fridge in between feeds. The lid is pretty sturdy, I’ve accidentally knocked over the hakaa and the lid stayed secure and no milk leaked out.

Amazing!
This is a great easy hands free pump. I mainly use it when feeding my baby on the other side to catch let down. I usually get 2-3oz in 15 minutes. Ideal as a lot of this would be wasted from leaking anyway. The suction is strong but comfortable, easy to adjust if feels a bit too strong. I feed baby in rugby ball hold as this is the best way he latches and it also means he isn't in the way of the haakaa as it collects on the other side. I have also hand expressed in to the pump which it works well for also. I'd recommend getting the one with the lid and suction base as it is much more convenient and reduces risk of spillages. Overall love this pump as it catches milk with no work and means I have extra breast milk to use as and when needed!
