This launcher combined with the Chuckit! balls is worth the extra money. (Don't bother with the included ball - If your dog is a chewer you know tennis balls won't work, so get the proper ones.) My Doberman has so far destroyed every single ball I've ever bought her, but the Chuckit! balls are fantastic. They throw well, float, some even glow in the dark, but most importantly - they appear indestructible.

Another Superb quality item by "Chuckit". Much more solid than other launchers. The only point is that as it is so solid the tip lacks a bit bit of flex when throwing, this tend to release the ball more upwards than forwards, and takes a bit of getting used to. Having said that the ball flying shorter but higher is a little easier on the dog, and she can get to the ball while its still bouncing high, which she seems to enjoy. I think from now on if I need anything for the dog, and Chuckit make a product I will use them. Sometimes a little more in price, but worth it I think. Buy some "ultra" balls and you are pretty much set.

We have had a few ball launchers starting with a low to mid range price, which after a lot of use, broke. Then we had a £1 replacement which lasted for a long time before the cup part became loose. So we decided to see if it was worth spending more money. In short it isn't. There is no doubting this is a very well made and robust product. But unfortunately it is also heavier. It doesn't have much spring in the shaft and it's uncomfortable to hold on the handle as it is so thick. All in all it's more awkward to use and doesn't do as good a job as it's cheaper counterparts. Not one for us. As an amendment to the above, four months on I feel in all fairness that I have had to make an update. Having persevered with this chucker my husband particularly thinks thesis the best we have had. It's till sturdy, hasn't loosed on the cup and it's still very sturdy on the shaft. But whether it has become more springy, or we have just get used to it is more easy to use than in the beginning. Originally I gave it one star, but I've upped this to four. It is a quality product, but he weight still lets it down.

Huge! This is the large one. If it works great, but bear in mind this one sends the balls nearly a mile away lol. For a crazy full of energy lab, this works.

This ball launcher is the best ever. It is made with exactly the right amount of 'give' so that throwing the ball can be controlled. I can throw the ball across a field, or I can skim it along the grass. I have learned how to chuck it up high in the air for my dog to catch, and I can simply throw the ball a short distant. It is long enough so that one does not have to bend down, much, to reach the ball on the ground. It is tough enough for my dog to bite the end with the ball in her jaws while shewrestles to get it out of the pocket. I have tried several ball launchers and this is the best yet.
