Not a lot to say about this one, but it works well and seems better made than some I've used costing several times the price. I didn't see this mentioned in the listing, but it has the feature where you can re-key it to match your existing (kwikset only) key if you want. I was putting it in a door that is never accessed from the outside so I didn't bother but I've got a couple with the same feature on another building and they still work smoothly, and they've held up for 7 or 8 years so far. These are not high security locks but most crooks don't pick locks. They use a wrecking bar, kick doors in, or just break a window. These are still stronger than most residential door frames so unless you've reinforced yours of bought high quality doors and frames, they're more than adequate for most folks. All in all, a decent lock for the money.

I recently installed a new set of locks on my house. I like the look of this little lock as it fit the aesthetic of my new door handles. The most important thing to know is that these are rekeyable. I won't post how to here, there are very detailed instructions on how to install the lock and then how to rekey it so that you only need one key not a whole ring of them. Installation is not straightforward. There are certain things you need to make sure you are doing right or else your lock won't work. 1. On the side of the housing for the mortice latch, it tells you proper orientation of the lock so you don't install it upside down. Yes it can be installed upside down - but it won't work. 2. It can be done by one person. I installed all of mine without help, but having someone to help hold the exterior piece in place while trying to attach the inside section to it, can help a lot. 3. Maybe this should have been number 1, but make sure you line up the door latch with your placement of the receiver hole in the door frame. Somehow I lined mine up on the first door completely by accident. This is a solid material build quality. The housing is steel but there's a brass housing inside the steel box. It keeps the entire assembly centered in the drilled hole for the lock.

Easy to install, easier to replace the keys. Nice knowing they’re more secure than the average deadbolt. The kit comes with a pair of 2 keys and the piece needed to rekey it, as well as the deadbolts and screws, etc. All super easy to put together. The only potential downside is the outside lock mechanism might be a bit wider than the standard deadlock hole, or that could just be our door. Either way lock and everything still works well with it.

I needed a US style deadbolt for my door so I ordered this lock from the Lock Door seller for 893 rupees which is cheaper than what it costs in US which is typically from 12-15$ for the same one. Other sellers have priced it much higher around 3000-4000 rupees which would be the actual cost if you import this lock from amazon.com. As I expected the lock was a replica as I have seen the original one which I bought in USA. The quality is poor but the lock does the job and is not flimsy. I have installed it on my door just like a regular USA deadbolt and it works fine for a secondary lock. I would not advise to use this as the only lock on your main door.

Needed to replace an existing lock that is > 20 years old. Easy 10 minutes swap. Fortunately all holes sizes and alignment are the same. Instructions are very clear and straight forward. Would buy again.
