This tool is a beast. Nicest cut-off tool on the market, just make sure you get good batteries to power it. It’s also the only cut-off tool that comes with a guide. Great to have for when you need straight cuts. The cut-off wheels that come with this tool are mediocre at best, so use this tool with good Diablo cut-off wheels and you will be unstoppable.

Everyone has their favorite screwdriver, favorite pliers, etc. This is my favorite Milwaukee tool. Years ago we attended a Fall Farmfest near our town, and a vendor had one of these cut-off/grinder tools. He installed a Bad Dog diamond cutting blade and that combination sold me. It is extremely versatile for small jobs that need cutting, from wire to plastics and everything in between. I now own three of these tools, keeping one at the ranch, one at the house, and one in my packout. You will LOVE this tool. I recommend getting the 3.0amp Milwaukee battery so you can tail stand it. I’ve been using the Milwaukee M12 Fuel 3" Cut Off Tool for a few weeks now and it’s been a really handy addition to my tools. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to handle, especially when working in tight spaces where a larger grinder would be awkward. I’ve used it to cut metal, bolts, and some tile, and it handled the jobs better than I expected for such a small tool. The brushless motor feels powerful and the tool spins up quickly. It makes clean, precise cuts and the control is really good with one hand. The guard adjustment is also simple and useful depending on the angle you’re working at. One thing to keep in mind is that this is the bare tool, so it does not come with a battery or charger. I already have other M12 tools, so that wasn’t an issue for me, but it’s something new buyers should be aware of. With a good M12 battery, it performs really well. Overall, it’s a solid, well-built tool that’s great for small cutting jobs and quick tasks. If you’re already using the M12 system, this is definitely a useful tool to have.
