Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for Raspberry Pi 4
This microSD card has been perfect for my Raspberry Pi 4. The speed is excellent — everything runs smoothly and responsively. I installed Kali Linux ARM on it and still have more than enough room for the additional tools I plan to add. The price was great for the performance and storage capacity, and the quality is exactly what I expect from SanDisk. It arrived very well protected in the packaging while still being easy to access. Fast, reliable, and high quality — definitely a five-star purchase.

get yourself a USB 3.2 UHS-II MicroSD card reader for true benchmark scores.
*UPDATE* Your adapter matters far more then you think. I do get advertised speeds when using my Kingston USB 3.2 MobileLite Plus UHS-II card reader. However when using ANYTHING else, the scores are underwhelming...that speaks more to the lack of quality of most USB MicroSD card readers then the MicroSD cards themselves. I got this card originally for my Raspberry Pi, so I didnt go for a 128gb card because its not really needed for a Raspberry Pi certainly not with the projects im using it for. The Pi ran pretty well on it, but as time passed and I looked into benchmarking, I took it out of my Pi, cleared it and benchmarked. I have seen quite a few benchmarks from people running an older version of Crystal Diskmark then me and with a 128GB card that performed as advertised spec-wise...but my benchmark tests were a bit underwhelming, my suspect is the adapter so I will be buying a USB 3.2 adapter and see how that goes, I just hope it works for all cards and not just the cards of the brand who makes the adapter. I tested all of the following methods on 2 different computers both using USB 3.1 Gen 1 SS ports, with a USB 3.1 card reader(Transcend USB 3.1 Gen 1) which has shown in the reviews of it here on amazon to benchmark around the same as my results show, nothing above 95mb/s, so I do believe its bottlenecked at the adapter. I used Crystal DiskMark 7, I also tested using h2testw and doing an actual file transfer. The results are as follows: Crystal Diskmark: BEST results, using peak performance test: 95mb/s sequential read 70mb/s sequential write 7.5mb/s random read 3.42mb/s random write 1838 read IOPS 834 write IOPS AGAIN, this was THE BEST results I got by far with Crystal Diskmark, other tests with the same program didnt do as well, and this is nowhere near the IOPS performance that it should have. This is A1 level IOPS performance. H2testw performance: (writing/verifying entire card) 57.4mb/s write 73.5mb/s read Real life file transfer. Using 6GB folder: Peak write speed: 61mb/s Consistantly around 35-40mb/s Dropped as low as 9mb/s, and CONSISTANTLY dropped as low as 10-20mb/s, and this is a SMALL FILE. I have photos I can upload as verification but this review is not letting me. The Sequential Read speed and Random read/write on MUCH cheaper cards match this 64GB card, the only noticable difference is sequential write is faster on this(SanDisk Extreme) card then others. For comparison I used a 32GB Kingston Canvas Select Plus purchased from MicroCenter (A1/C10/UHS-1/V10 rated) it got VERY SIMILAR benchmarks outside of sequential write which is was significantly slower(17mb/s)...but all random read/write and read speeds were the same. Kingston Canvas Select Plus results CrystalDiskMark results: Sequential read: 95mb/s Sequential write: 17.6mb/s Random Read: 6.62mb/s Random Write: 3.27mb/s Read IOPS: 1615 Write IOPS: 800 Will update when I have a better higher speed working adapter. One concern I do have was in the real world transfer test the speeds dropping significantly, and the h2testw...but maybe that could be the adapter as well? Seems unlikely but I suppose its possible its not able to sustain the speeds. Good card, well see if its great when I get a better adapter.

Test results - Amazon basic 256 vs SanDisk Extreme 256 (with earlier cell phone usage review)
I am reviewing and comparing two different memory cards, the Amazon basics 256gb and the SanDisk Extreme 256gb card. First is price, the Amazon basics is a several dollars less than the SanDisk (at this moment 23.72 vs 36.99). Currently Amazon says there is a newer version of the SanDisk for 24.85, however I have not purchased or tested the newer version. The two cards: "SanDisk 256GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - Up to 160MB/s, C10, U3, V30, 4K, A2, Micro SD - SDSQXA1-256G-GN6MA" "Amazon Basics microSDXC Memory Card with Full Size Adapter, A2, U3, Read Speed up to 100 MB/s, 256 GB" Tested using: CrystalDiskMark 5.5.0 x64. Computer is a 4-year-old "NUC8i7HVK" running Windows 10, and it has a built in SD card reader (Intel calls it "SDXC with UHS-I support"). This interface is what I call "SD reader" in the accompanying screen captures. I also tested using a SanDisk USB 3 adapter "SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 microSD Card Reader- SDDR-B531-GN6NN". This interface is what I call USB3 in the accompanying screen captures. First, I noticed a UK review where the reviewer noted the Amazon basics card seems to be missing 5 gigabytes of storage even when the (confusing) translation from computer storage gigabytes (1024 x 1024 x 1024 = 1,073,741,824 bytes vs 1000 x 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000,000 bytes) vs "we sell storage" gigabytes. You will notice CrystalDiskMark reports the Amazon basic card as 233GiB versus the 238GiB of the SanDisk, so he is very correct. I have no clue why the discrepancy, but it is slightly smaller than it should be. Second, to get the real read/write speed of the SanDisk card, you will notice I had to use the SanDisk USB 3 adapter. Using the built in SD card reader, both cards were very close to identical results. Using the SanDisk USB 3 adapter, I did manage to exceed the ratings for the SanDisk card (up to 160 MB/s read, and up to 90 MB/s write) giving 169 read and 105 write. The Amazon basic card did have a slight change using the SanDisk adapter, but really not significant. Both cards were close enough to their claimed specs to not worry about it, however it should be noted that you need the SanDisk adapter to actually get the much higher speeds of the SanDisk. I will be using the Amazon basic card to store children's movies for my granddaughter to play on her new Kindle, it is plenty fast enough reading to do full HD movies. Note that both cards were brand new when tested and had never had anything written or read from them prior to the test. The Amazon basic seems a good value and is certainly adequate for normal use in a cell phone or laptop. The SanDisk would really shine if you used the adapter to move lots of larger files to it. Older review: I've now purchased this card 3 times from Amazon (as seller) and I'm very satisfied. Used in Moto g7 and Moto g7 power phones with excellent results! Mine was sold by Amazon, and certainly is a fast card. Installed in a Moto G7, tested at 89 read, 59 write using A1 SD benchmark for android. Maybe not the rated speed, but Motorola phones have a history of bad SD compatibility. Tested others, and this card is significantly faster. Very happy with the product. Note that I've attached some results testing on a PC with a Lexmark reader, thus it doesn't attain its full speed.

Another great memory card of super high capacity - watch for max size compatibility problems
Note that I'm writing this review in Aug 2019. If you're reading it in 2020+ you are probably laughing at how pitifully small the capacity is of this card, however at the time of writing, the 1TB cards hadn't shipped at reasonable prices and this is a lot more affordable than the 512GB card. So I really like Sandisk. They do good things with flash memory and this card is no exception. It's fast, reliable and of course compatible. However be aware, some electronics may not work correctly with the larger capacity. I bought this for a GoPro Hero6, their web site says a v30 Sandisk Ultra card >=32GB is supported, however this will not work correctly. Apparently they decided that 256GB is the biggest card that will be made. Even their Hero 7 only supports the smaller cards. This is obviously not the fault of Sandisk, Gopro is not keeping up with the times, which is sad and will probably hurt them in the long run due to competition. So double check the max capacity supported by your device before you buy, because some electronics vendors are slow and/or lazy and haven't caught up to the current capacities. For my Samsung phone and other camera (non-Gopro) devices, there is no problem with 400GB of storage. if you need this much storage, this is an excellent option. BTW, this card does work to record 4K60FPS on the Gopro Hero6 Black, so you can use it, the camera just won't play the video back on the camera's screen, the camera locks up and needs to have the battery pulled. If I use the GoPro Quik software to transfer it to my computer (Mac) it works fine, so it's clearly a bug in the camera software. 4K24 does work correctly on camera, just not 4K30 or 4K60. Go figure.

Great for Old Digital Camera – Just Know the Card Size Limit
I picked up this 64GB SD card for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS6, and it’s been working flawlessly. Just a heads-up: this camera supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards, but it maxes out at 64GB, so don’t go buying one of those huge 256GB cards if you have an old camera. They probably won’t work. 👍 Pros: - Fits perfectly within the camera’s limit and needed the included SD adaptor. - Stores thousands of photos at 12MP resolution. - Can hold hours of 720p video, which is the camera’s top setting. - No setup needed, just plug it in and shoot. 👎 Cons: - Nothing really, exactly what I expected it to do If you’re using an older camera like the ZS6, this card hits the sweet spot. It’s affordable, works great, and gives you way more space than you probably need.

I received the product as advertised and it works. Pics included of package.
*Update* In February 2020, I found my pictures were corrupted. Some had black portions like half black and half my original picture. Some were gray with an exclamation mark in the middle. No matter how and where I viewed them, restarting my phone, checking settings, calling my phone manufacturer company, etc., I couldn't fix the problem. I was thinking virus, but the phone company helped me see if there was a virus on the phone which there wasn't. Also, somehow instead of pictures saving on my SD card from phone camera settings, they saved onto phone storage all by itself and the phone company couldn't figure out why. I used this for 7 months and had no problems, so I don't know how or why out of no where this happened. Also, the corrupted files were in one specific day's worth, but then it kept corrupting back to other days. Very unhappy about this. Next step would be to call SanDisk. I'll update after that. Jan. 14, 2019 review below: (Mostly same review as the other review I made of the Extreme Pro that I have because I bought both at the same time and they're basically the same thing. Since they're two different items, I performed the same process to make sure it works.) Greetings 😊, I received my order in two days real quick so I was very happy about that when I thought it would take longer. (I didn't include pictures of the Extreme Pro Micro SD Card because it's in my phone. It looks just like it does in the picture, but you can take a look at the other regular Extreme Pro one that I bought at the same time which came in the same package.) I wanted to show what it looks like with it's package because I believe that is important to include which companies rarely ever show in their pictures. The package of the Sandisk microSD card version came with the adapter and the micro card as pictured and as described with functioning. I bought this for my Samsung Galaxy S8+, and I'm sure it will work on any device that can take a micro sd card. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't malfunctioned by saving something from my phone onto the sd card, removing it from my phone, placing in adapter, inserting in my laptop sd card slot, and reading it from my computer, making sure what I saved was indeed there (and it was), reverse checked by putting something else from my computer in the sd card, removing from computer, inserting sd card in phone, and reading to make sure what I copied onto the card was there. So far so good. The first picture shows both of the items that I bought at the same time which came in the same package. As you can see, I already opened them. The second picture shows a close up of the product for this review facing up. The third shows a full picture of the entire package for this product. The fourth shows the back of the package as well as the backs of the items. The fifth picture shows a close up view of the items. I blurred out some product description. On the adapter, there was a typed text of a full date in 2018 and "Made in China." On the microSD card, there was what looks like a serial number and "Made in China."
