Today,I have received this wonderful book,pakageing is normal bur delivery timing is excellent and product is awesome, content is excellent and way of delivering style is unique. Brief history of English helps to understand the language. Its another beneficial point is linguistic features of the dictionary. Overall it is very helpful in vocabulary treasurer.

A complete dictionary.
Chambers dictionary is a complete dictionary for advanced studies. Very good definitions and examples are given for head words. Pronunciation is given for all words. Letters are small , words are rich. Paper is thin but good..Printing is also very good.Binding is sturdy and good. All right as per the description.

More words per kilogram of weight of the dictionary
My Chamber's 20th Century Dictionary of 1961 had only 1387 smaller size pages. It has become a heritage collection and so shelved. This 13th edition has larger page size and more than 500 extra pages. So it is quite up to date and good for regular reference. Binding is very good. The book spine does not lose shape as some other buyer had complained. I checked page by page to check for any missing pages. No pages missing - as was complained by another buyer.

Splendid Dictionary that is a must for all literates.
On the direction of my octogenarian friend who had used Chambers dictionay long before,I have purchased this 13th edition that is very important &useful to voracious readers who want to develop their English vocabulary.Also it has not only paper&sprint qualities but good binding@ many new words. I, strongly, am to recommend that every literate must add this dictionary to his/ her book shelf(s). P Chinnathambi,an omnivorous reader.

A golden treasury of words!
The book stands true to every phrase that I read in its description.I am doing my research work at present and I hope it will be of great help in boosting up my writing skills by equipping me up with the magic wand of scintillating words.One word of caution and advice to those who have not been cultured,-as I myself have been,-in some fundamental dictionaries like the 'Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current Usage',-that here,in the pages of this dictionary,they will have no schooling in the use of words in sentences,and unless they have mastered this art,the ingratiating premises of this Academia will seldom be balmy to them!

useful. Your product met my expectation
I didn't go through it because I bought three from Amazon as gifts to my student ,my brother's son&sister-in-law's son.But I am using an Indian edition of Chambers,which is immensely.useful.Your product met my expectation.God bless your service.

It is the Bible of Dictionaries
The best one since my school days 1982, I was 15 then, my dad purchased one 1965 edition and I still have that, and purchased this one 2017.

CHAMBERS - BEST DICTIONARY EVER
Best dictionary ever! Why? LOOK INSIDE and you will know!! GROSS - SCHWER - UMFANGREICH - INFORMATIV! Ein Fünf-Sterne Wörterbuch von Chambers eben! Kompliment an alle, die ein solches Meisterwerk ermöglicht haben. (Und wollen wir hoffen, dass es auch in Zukunft solche textlichen Referenzwerke geben möge.)

El mejor monolingüe compacto
He tenido ya varias ediciones del Chambers y lo considero el mejor diccionario monolingüe compacto. Viene en un solo tomo y contiene muchísimas entradas de la cultura reciente y popular, además de muchas palabras del inglés más antiguo. Imprescindible para cualquier persona que use el inglés profesionalmente (traductores, profesores de inglés, filólogos, periodistas en lengua inglesa...). Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda después de usarlo ya bastantes años.

Pages manquantes
Dictionnaire en très bon état. Il manque toutefois 4 pages entre les pages 680 et 689, je pense que c'est un problème lié à l'imprimerie, car les pages ne sont pas arrachées.

Crossword companion
I am delighted with the quality of the revised 13th. edition. It includes all words omitted from the original 13th. edition and I think that it is a wonderfully thorough reference work. Kudos to Chambers for producing such a beautiful book - you can literally feel the weight of knowledge it contains.
